AEW Double Or Nothing will make it’s return to Las Vegas this coming Sunday on pay per view. The global pandemic halted travel to for multiple event offerings. The venue for Double Or Nothing has changed from the MGM Grand in it’s inaugural show to The T-Mobile Arena.

AEW will have a stacked card with multiple championship matches, 2 tournament finals and a handful of grudge bouts. Something that this promotion has prided itself upon is the ability to provide a wide array of bouts that will please portions of it’s a fanbase. A wrestling buffet if you will.

The build for AEW Double Or Nothing has been a little underwhelming as opposed to the last few pay per view outings. The focus has been on television as the quality of AEW Dynamite has gone up from an in-ring perspective. Even with below average builds leading into this show, Expect in-ring pyrotechnics in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

It’s time to take a gander at the preshow match and bouts that have been announced so far. He are your predictions for the 2022 rendition of AEW Double Or Nothing.

Hook and Danhausen vs Tony Nese and Mark Sterling

The unlikely duo of Hook and Danhausen will square off against Tony Nese and his new manager, Mark Sterling. The pairing of the former team has been a fun one to watch unfold. The serious nature of Hook and the curse spelling, comedy act of Danhausen have become a crowd favorite over recent weeks.

Tony Nese scored a victory over Danhausen in the debut of the latter participant. Revenge is likely going to be had in this tag team contest as Nese has gotten the upper hand in this feud thus far. Look for the push of Hook to continue and the crowd to start off with a pleasing moment before the Double Or Nothing main card begins.

Winners: Hook and Danhausen

Jade Cargill vs Anna Jay for the AEW TBS championship.

This match was added last Friday night after Anna Jay came to the aid of Kris Statlander following her match with Red Velvet. Velvet and her “Baddies” jumped Statlander after the bout, so Ruby Soho and Anna Jay came in to interject and even the odds.

Jade Cargill has been a juggernaut in more ways than one on in AEW. An undefeated streak, a tremendous physical presence and now some championship gold around her waist. The sky is the limit for this performer who is only in her second year as a pro wrestler.

Anna Jay has also been around for a very brief period. These women have roughly 75 matches accumulated throughout their career’s. Including a match between the two of them for the TBS title in January. A match that is arguably the best of their catalogs thus far.

Jade Cargill is the strong favorite in this bout and it will take a lot to get the TBS championship off of her. Especially in the short term.

Winner: Jade Cargill

Death Triangle vs House Of Black

This match right here is sure to electrify the T-Mobile audience in attendance at AEW Double Or Nothing. These 2 factions have been feuding on and off for the past 5 months since Brody King made his debut in AEW. A few weeks later, Buddy Matthews became the final member of this tremendous trio.

Death Triangle has three of the best workers in the AEW promotion. PAC is a top performer worldwide; Penta and Rey Fenix were recently AEW tag team champions early in 2022. Work rate is going to be at a high throughout this bout.

This should be a back-and-forth affair. These groups are equally matched and the big question surrounding the aftermath of this contest is “where do these groups go from here?”

Will Julia Hart join the House Of Black? Will these trios be chasing championship glory in the next 6 months? While the direction remains unclear, expect a phenomenal bout that has the potential to steal the show at Double Or Nothing.

Winner: House Of Black
