AEW Double Or Nothing 2022: Full match card and predicitons
The Young Bucks vs The Hardy Boys
When Jeff Hardy signed with AEW back in March, people immediately began fantasy booking the reformation of the Hardy Boys. Teaming with his brother Matt once again, they are looking to this trilogy of matches that started in Ring Of Honor as they square off against The Young Bucks.
Matt and Nick Jackson have looked up to the Hardy Boys as inspiration to pursue a pro wrestling career. Now they will battle one more time versus their idols in an AEW setting. There is a backstory here, 2 legendary tag teams battling to see who still has their mojo. This is a match that could have used an extra month or two for a pay per view build.
Granted you could see the writing on the wall if you watch ‘Being The Elite’ on YouTube, we needed a little more time to make this steak sizzle on television. None the less, here we are. I’m going with the Young Bucks to win this rubber match to make it two out of three over The Hardy’s.
Winner: The Young Bucks
Jurassic Express vs Keith Lee and Shane Strickland vs Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs for the AEW tag team championships.
Three teams with striking resemblances. Each duo has a young and charismatic member with a massive and freakishly athletic tag team partner. Jurassic Express has had a solid run as AEW tag team champions. This will be their second consecutive title defense in a triple threat on pay per view, so wrestling against stacked odds and prevailing won’t be a new task.
The other two teams that are involved in this bout have been feuding for a couple of months. All four men on these respective duos could easily be challenging for a single’s title, one of them (Ricky Starks) holds a championship. One in which Jungle Boy and Shane Strickland (who are involved in this match) have challenged for.
This is a difficult one to predict. the challengers aren’t necessarily makeshift teams, but there are a handful of tag teams who are more ready made to lead the AEW tag team division going forward. Which could mean a title change might not make sense here.
A wild card in all of this is Christian Cage, who’s been mentoring Jurassic Express for almost a year now. Will he somehow get involved and turn his back on Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy? So many questions to answer in a match that could also be a sneaky one for most entertaining of the night. Especially based on the six men who are in the ring. I’ll call for new tag team champions in a shocker here.
