After spending many years in WWE as the residential “Rated R Superstar,” Edge is nearly unrecognizable as the head of The Judgement Day. We’ve all been invited to follow his vision and join his side. Would you join the Judgement Day?

After spending nine years out of the ring, Edge has spent the last two years making up for the lost time. It is no new news that Edge is still wrestling on borrowed time. He missed out on a lot of years due to injury and soon his age may come to get him as well. He had a great feud coming back against former tag team partner, Randy Orton that was concluded in the “greatest match ever.” Since ending the feud, he has had dream matches against names like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and, most recently, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles.

Even the biggest of critics can say that Edge has been on the top of his game since returning and has looked like he hasn’t lost a step. The fans were loving having the old “Rated R Superstar” back in the WWE. It was like he hadn’t changed a single bit. We felt like we had the same old Edge back and even got to see Edge go back to his Brood days. However, Edge may have gotten a little too deep into his brood days. He soon started shifting into a brand new character; a surprising shift after all of these years. Although Edge, always the “ultimate opportunist,” knew it would be the perfect time to change.

Once he started his feud with AJ Styles, Edge turned back to the bad guy that we loved to despise in the prime of Edge’s heel runs. However, this version of Edge wasn’t the egotistical Edge that we knew. This is the Hall of Fame version of Edge as a heel that had reverted to his darker roots in the WWE. Edge doesn’t see himself as the heel. He sees himself as a visionary that can help lead others to greatness. Edge believes that following his vision, any superstar can achieve the greatest version of themselves, and his Judgement Day stable is always open to new recruits.

Edge has offered an open invitation to the WWE roster and even more to follow his mission statement. Under his wing and guidance, Edge promises to take his followers to the top of the mountain. He has promised that anybody that feels like they are being held back and restrained from becoming who they want to be can make their dreams come true. That is where one man has been paying extra attention. Each week that The Judgement Day has made its presence on Raw, Corey Graves is fully supportive of the group’s mission and members.

Corey Graves is a man that can relate to a leader like Edge. Much like Edge, Corey Graves had his career ended before he was ready for it to end. After suffering two concussions in 2014, Graves announced his retirement from the ring that December. He was offered a two-year commentary contract and soon became one of NXT’s best announcers. Within two years, Graves was promoted to the Raw brand while remaining with NXT as well until February 2017. Since joining the main roster, Corey Graves has provided his voice to both of WWE’s two brands and much more.

From having his own shows on the WWE Network to hosting his own podcast, Graves has become a crucial member of the company. However, since getting just a little taste of competition by winning the 24/7 Championship, Corey Graves posted on Twitter that he “kinda wanted to wrestle again.” Things became even more exciting for fans of the former Sterling James Keenan in February. In an interview with TMZ, Graves confirmed that he was medically cleared to compete again. While stating an in-ring return isn’t an immediate goal, it could still happen at any moment.

Edge continues to tease potential members of his stable. He has been posting pictures of superstars that could be potentially joining the stable on his Instagram page. Among the various pictures posted, Corey Graves is on the list. Edge has gone as far as to say Corey Graves’s name live on Raw when offering a home with The Judgement Day. At this point, it would really be a loss for the stable if they don’t go all-in with Corey Graves joining.

Even if Corey isn’t ready to get back into the ring, he could still be a viable member as a part of the commentary. We have seen members of the commentary be a part of a stable in the past. Even currently in All Elite Wrestling, Taz is a part of the commentary team while still running his Team Taz stable. Although, if Corey is getting that itch to get back in the ring, The Judgement Day is the perfect place for Corey Graves to remember exactly who he is. This would be a beautiful way to expand Edge’s stable and his mission statement by bringing in a man like Corey Graves.

The story is almost written by itself. Edge promises to bring his followers to the promised land. He would look at a man with “Stay Down” tattooed on his knuckles and ask at what point his tattoo meant for him to stay down. He would ask what happened to the old Corey Graves. Where is the hunger? Where is the desire? And possibly awaken the beast inside of Corey Graves. No more comedy commentary Corey. No, this would be the old Corey Graves. The Savior of Misbehavior. With Graves in its numbers, The Judgement Day would make everybody… Stay Down.
