It was October 28th, 2021 when the first article was written about Tasha Steelz and why she was bound for greatness in Impact Wrestling. It was during a time when it seemed like everyone overlooked her and didn’t want to put her name as a potential contender for the Knockouts title.

Months later, Tasha Steelz won her first Knockouts title. Under normal circumstances, it would be a victory lap and bragging rights when no one else wanted to pay attention to her. On the road to Slammiversary, Tasha still hasn’t been given the respect she deserves.

Tasha Steelz and her contribution to Impact Wrestling.

Since Tasha won the Knockouts championship, her confidence has hit an all-time high. It has become a common trend that she steps it up when holding a championship belt. Whether it’s the Knockouts title or Knockouts tag team titles, she has made it a mission to elevate to a new level.

Tasha won the Knockouts title from a first-ballot future hall of famer in Mickie James and it wasn’t an easy deal. She stepped up her game in the match and proved what was said all along about her adaptation skills against opponents.

It doesn’t matter what advantage her opponent has over her. Tasha utilizes the biggest muscle she has, which is her mind to overcome any opponent that steps in her way. That’s how she overcame Mickie James a second time and withstood the shadow of darkness against Rosemary.

Every week of Impact Wrestling, Tasha looks more and more comfortable as she holds the championship belt. The most unique aspect of Tasha Steelz is that her reign has painted a clear picture of the state of Impact Wrestling.

The main thing is her alliance with Savannah Evans. Savannah has always been an intimidating force and just a fighter who will wrestle and doesn’t need an incentive to take people down. There has been a shift that showed that there are serious eyes on her being a champion soon.

It makes for an interesting scenario with Savannah’s loyalty to Tasha, but that shows how serious her rise has truly been. During her reign as Knockouts champion, there was a high possibility of the duo winning the Knockouts tag team championships, but they fell short.

The saddest part is Tasha woulda made history in two ways: one she would have been the first individual to win the knockouts tag team title ever, and two she would have been double champion. That would have also been Savannah Evan’s first title in Impact Wrestling.

Even though Tasha ultimately didn’t make that history, the gears quickly shifted to something even bigger as Tasha finds herself in the middle of history yet again at Slammiversary in a Queen of the Mountain match.

Tasha will defend her Knockouts title against Chelsea Green, Deonna Purrazzo, Jordynne Grace, and Mia Yim. Between these four challengers, there are five Knockout title reigns thus making it a true all-star matchup befitting for a luxurious pay-per-view event.

In event that Tasha retains because of her quick adaption to any scenario, there should be nothing but an outpour of respect as she puts the exclamation point in her title reign. She’s literally going against some of the most decorated Knockouts champions in history.

There is also a possibility that Tasha could lose, but Tasha still deserves that outpour of respect, because she surely won’t lose that title without a fight. The aftermath would be most interesting because Tasha would certainly have a relentless chase to be a two-time champion.

Either way, Tasha will continue to add to her legacy and show why people shouldn’t sleep on her. She is literally a champion who will continue to make history and step it up as she continues her road to Slammiversary.

Even with the ever-changing atmosphere in wrestling, Tasha has shown zero fear and continued to shine with her Knockouts championship reign. Hopefully, people will respect Tasha after Slammiversary and realize there is more history to be made as she continues her career in Impact Wrestling.
