WWE MITB 2022 is in three weeks, and the WWE even moved this “premium live event” into a smaller Las Vegas Venue to assure that their tickets sell out. Furthermore, the WWE is still undecided on their top plans for this “premium live event” even though WWE MITB 2022 is supposed to be one of the biggest events on the WWE calendar. The following will provide match card predictions for the potential match card based on the current feuds in WWE. It’s now time to preview and predict one of the most jaw dropping PPVs on WWE’s calendar: WWE MITB 2022.

WWE MITB 2022 is scheduled to take place on July 2, 2022, live on WWE Network via Peacock. Here are the full, updated match card predictions.

Becky Lynch vs. Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Liv Morgan vs. Shotzi vs. Aliyah vs. Lacey Evans vs. Raquel Rodriguez [Women’s MITB Ladder Match]

Becky Lynch will win the MITB Ladder Match because she will use MITB to either cash in on Bianca Belair at SummerSlam or cash in on Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 39 next year. Although the MITB Ladder Match should be used to establish a new star, the WWE has a proclivity of remaining with the status quo. Furthermore, it would be another milestone in Becky’s career as it would be her first MITB victory. Other contenders in the women’s division have not been built well enough to dethrone either Belair or Rousey, so it would not make sense to book them as MITB winners.

Prediction: Becky Lynch

Usos (c) vs. Street Profits [Undisputed Tag Team Championships]

Usos will retain the Undisputed Tag Team Championships against Street Profits because The Bloodline will only lose their titles on a big 4 PPV, like SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, or WrestleMania. Street Profits earned their contendership by winning a nonsensical championship contenders match on WWE Raw this week via count-out. These championship contender matches need to stop because they destroy the momentum of the champions as well as the anticipation of a future title match on PPV.

Prediction: Usos

Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Natalya (w/Shayna Baszler) [SmackDown Women’s Championship]

Ronda Rousey will retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Natalya because Rousey is rumored to defend her title against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam and will go all the way to WrestleMania to defend her title against Becky Lynch. Since the original plan was for Rousey to defend her title against Sasha Banks, it is evident that Natalya is merely a Plan B contender who will inevitably lose to Rousey here. Rousey and Natalya have history due to their teacher-pupil relationship during Rousey’s first run in 2018-2019, so this should be interesting.

Prediction: Ronda Rousey

Austin Theory (c) vs. Bobby Lashley [U.S. Championship]

Austin Theory will retain the U.S. Championship against Bobby Lashley because he is rumored to defend his title against John Cena at SummerSlam. In order to protect Lashley in defeat, this match will end in either DQ or countout. It can be argued that Lashley wins the U.S. Title as a transitional champion and drops it to Omos at SummerSlam whilst Theory battles Cena without the title on the line. However, it is doubtful that Theory will lose the title this quickly after winning it, especially when Lashley does not need this title and should be in the world title scene.

Prediction: Austin Theory

Ezekiel vs. Kevin Owens [Grudge Match]

Ezekiel will defeat Kevin Owens because WWE loves implementing 50:50 booking as an ‘effective’ of developing a character and putting a rising star over. As foreseen at WWE HIAC 2022, Owens picked up the early victory to stretch this feud out for the big babyface payoff on the road to SummerSlam for Ezekiel. Ezekiel is scheduled to battle Owens on Raw next week. However, that match will end in DQ due to interference by Alpha Academy, and Ezekiel will have to get his win back here with some special stipulation attached that will prevent Gable and Otis from interfering.

Prediction: Ezekiel

Bianca Belair (c) vs. Rhea Ripley [Raw Women’s Championship]

Bianca Belair will retain the Raw Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley because Belair is rumored to defend her title against Becky Lynch at SummerSlam. It is questionable to book this title match so early in Belair’s reigns because neither woman should lose here. Ripley recently turned heel and currently getting her feet wet in this nascent faction called Judgment Day. To solidify this heel run, she really should dethrone Belair. However, Belair’s reign is far from over, and she will probably need help from Street Profits to fend off against Balor and Priest at ringside.

Prediction: Bianca Belair

John Cena vs. Damian Priest vs. Damian Priest vs. AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn vs. Madcap Moss vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre [Men’s MITB Ladder Match]

John Cena will win the MITB Ladder Match because he can quite feasibly go back to Hollywood with the MITB Briefcase and cash in whenever he returns for a big surprise. Cena can redeem himself from his failed MITB cash-in in 2013 and win his 17th world title. He is scheduled to return on the MITB go-home Raw episode on June 27, so it is very likely he will announce his entry into the MITB Ladder Match at the last minute. Cena does not need MITB, but he would be a solid Plan B for Cody Rhodes if Rhodes cannot make it back in time from his injury.

Prediction: John Cena
