WWE SmackDown Predictions: Roman Reigns Will Embarrass Riddle

WWE SmackDown is on the road to WWE Money In The Bank 2022.  In this week’s episode, there are two scheduled matches: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Riddle for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss in a Last Laugh Match. There is also one scheduled segment: Max Dupri will reveal his first client for Maximum Male Models.

In terms of the upcoming PPV, Natalya became the number one contender for Ronda Rousey’s SmackDown Women’s Title at MITB by winning a six-pack challenge against Shayna Baszler, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, Aliyah, and Xia Li. Meanwhile, Street Profits became the number one contender for Usos’ Team Titles by winning a championship contenders match against them.

In terms of the MITB Ladder Matches, it is expected that qualifying matches will come into play for the superstars who are not in title matches. While Drew McIntyre and Sheamus had a controversial finish to their MITB Qualifier match last week, Lacey Evans qualified for MITB by defeating Xia Li. Seth Rollins, Alexa Bliss, and Liv Morgan qualified for MITB on Raw.

With that being addressed, it’s now time to preview and predict the scheduled matches and segments that will actually occur on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on June 17, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on FOX. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

Madcap Moss vs. Happy Corbin [Last Laugh Match]

On this week’s WWE SmackDown, Madcap Moss is scheduled to clash with Happy Corbin in a Last Laugh Match. Since Madcap Moss is already up 2-0 in this feud, it would make no sense for Corbin to win now. This feud needs to end, and Moss should get a future IC Title opportunity against Gunther to solidify his victories against the king of the mid card vortex, Happy Corbin.

Max Dupri Maximum Male Models Segment

On this week’s WWE SmackDown, Max Durpri is scheduled to reveal his first client into Maximum Male Models. Originally, MACE and Mansoor were working with Durpri in dark segments. However, Vince McMahon reportedly made a change to this nascent stable. Since Dupri was stuck in Europe last week and Cesaro is rumored to rejoin WWE, it will likely be him.

Prediction: Cesaro will be the 1st Client

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Riddle [Undisputed WWE Universal Title]

On this week’s WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle. If Riddle loses, he can no longer get a world title shot as long as Reigns is champion. Clearly, Riddle won’t dethrone Reigns because Reigns will lose the title on PPV and he is already rumored to defend the title against Orton at SummerSlam.
