Money in the Bank has become one of the prominent moments when WWE attempts to build a new star. The PPV is a few weeks away, and there are a lot of questions about who the WWE will tab as a future title challenger with the briefcase. Looking at the roster, here are six names that should be involved in the match when the showcase rolls around.

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley looks like he has all the momentum coming out of Hell in a Cell. The shoulder injury that forced him out of the title picture during an Elimination Chamber match is all healed and the fans are still pushing to see him in the main event picture. WWE always looks to those that look the part and Lashley certainly checks all the boxes. He could be a big part of Money in the Bank, setting up a lot of big spots and pushing narratives forward, with or without the victory.

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is at the top of his game. It’s hard to look around the wrestling industry and find many that are performing at a level higher than he’s been for the extended time that he’s been doing it. There’s a growing push for Rollins to get the long-established run as champion that has avoided him. Yes, he’s been the champion before, but he hasn’t seen a dominant run as a top name for WWE, even though he frequently puts the company on his back. Getting the Money in the Bank briefcase in his hands once again is the first step in bringing him back to the top and setting up a series of great matches for the future.

Montez Ford

Every time Montez Ford performs look at social media where fans are talking about professional wrestling. There’s always a wave of support for Ford and his eventual place at the top of the main roster. As said before, he has all the pieces necessary to be a top champion. Imagine his in-ring skills in a match as perilous as the MITB ladder match. There are several highlights that are always shown when talking about this big match, and Ford could easily add his own to the catalog if given the opportunity to be in the match.

Matt Riddle

WWE continues to go back and forth with Matt Riddle as a top contender. There were growing rumors that Riddle was going to be tabbed as an eventual contender to Roman Reigns, but that hasn’t hit just yet. Putting him in the Money in the Bank would help take a next step in that narrative, plus Riddle would no doubt be able to put on a great match with any others booked against him in July.

Veer Mahaan

Veer Mahaan took long enough to get to Monday Night Raw, but now that he’s here he’s taken to squashing opponent after opponent. Putting him into the Money in the Bank would be a fresh look for Mahaan and give him the opportunity to compete with some of the bigger names on the roster. He wouldn’t be expected to win the match but putting him in the match would be the opportunity to push him a step up the roster.

Kevin Owens

Just like Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens continues to operate on another level. He’s one of the best performers in the industry and WWE counts on him to elevate any story he’s in, even those that don’t seem to make any sense. Owens is long overdue for another run as champion. He’s had multiple shots, but the company continues to look in different directions, instead of putting the belt on one guy who would certainly excel as the top draw of the company. The first step to getting there would be to add him to the Money in the Bank match and watch him be involved in another classic.
