AEW: Toni Storm is the one to take the women’s title from Thunder Rosa
While the title reign started slow for AEW women’s champion Thunder Rosa, the pace picked up when Rosa faced Toni Strom at Forbidden Door. Yes, she had a great match with Serena Debb at Double or Nothing. But she also had a not-so-great match with Marina Shafir on Dynamite and a decent match with Nyla Rose at Battle Of The Belts Two.
That is why the title match at Forbidden Door made the championship reign much better. Rosa should not lose the title anytime soon. But when it’s time for Rosa to lose the title, the woman that should beat her is Toni Storm. And the time to have Storm winning the women’s championship is at Full Gear.
Why Toni Storm should be the next AEW women’s champion?
Strom shouldn’t be the women’s champion right now because there is still mileage left in Rosa’s title reign. The right time for Storm to win the women’s championship is at Full Gear because that’s enough time for Rosa to have a good reign.
While Storm did face Rosa at Forbidden Door for the women’s championship, Rosa did beat her. But the next time they have the rematch for the women’s championship, Storm should be the one to dethrone Rosa.
In the meantime, Rosa could face Britt Baker at All Out since Rosa was the one to beat Baker for the women’s title at the St Patrick’s day edition of AEW Dynamite. And at Grand Slam, Rosa can face Ruby Soho and then face Storm in November.
Right now Storm and Rosa are teaming up and calling themselves Thunderstorm. Thunderstorm won their first match as a team when they defeated Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir during last week’s Dynamite.

They could face Baker and Jamie Hayter soon to set up Rosa vs Baker three. And once Rosa beats Baker, Rosa can defend her championship against Soho at Grand Slam and continue the Thunderstorm team which sets up Rosa vs Storm two at Full Gear.

Now is not the time for Thunder Rosa to lose the AEW women’s championship. Her title reign just started five months ago. The reign started slow but got better when she the match with Toni Storm. So, when it’s time for Rosa to drop the title, the woman that should beat her is Toni Storm.
