AEW Dynamite Predictions: Who will Jon Moxley face at All Out?
AEW Dynamite is back this Wednesday and will be broadcast live on TBS from Chicago as the promotion’s flagship program presents its All Out go-home show.
With All Out scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 4, we should get all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed heading into what is usually one of the bigger pay-per-views of the year for AEW. The most important of which is finalizing what the main event of Sunday’s show will be.
This week’s show will also give us Bryan Danielson in singles action, a tag team match involving the competitors of the four-way interim AEW Women’s Title at All Out, and a semifinal match in the AEW Trios Titles tournament, involving two of the best in the world: Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega.
Let’s take a look at the announced matches and segments for this week’s AEW Dynamite: All Out Go Home show.
Bryan Danielson vs Jake Hager
Before he goes one-on-one with Chris Jericho at All Out, Bryan Danielson will battle the Jericho Appreciation Society’s enforcer, Jake Hager, on Dynamite.
This is a match that is set up to soften Bryan Danielson up and set up some intrigue for the Danielson-Jericho clash at All Out.
Danielson will pick up the win in this match, but the question of where Daniel Garcia’s loyalty lies will be teased here again but won’t be answered until All Out. Winner: Bryan Danielson
Jon Moxley Speaks
In one of the more surprising match results of the year, Jon Moxley beat CM Punk in a mere three minutes to become the undisputed AEW World Champion.
The result of the match came to fruition because of Punk reinjuring his foot, and now Punk’s status for All Out and beyond is in question.
This injury was an obvious work to get to a hobbled Punk asking for a rematch with Moxley in Chicago at All Out, but the question is why Tony Khan chose to play it out this way?
Whatever his reason was, we head into this week’s Dynamite without a main event for All Out. The only card the promotion has left to play is Punk challenging Mox to a rematch, setting up an injured Punk overcoming all odds in Chicago to win back the AEW World Title.
Hikaru Shida & Toni Storm vs Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter
Before Hikaru Shida, Toni Storm, Britt Baker, and Jamie Hayter battle for the interim AEW Women’s Title at All Out, they will pair off and compete in a tag team match at Dynamite.
After last week’s surprising announcement by AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa that she would be unable to defend her title against Toni Storm at All Out, AEW has put together a four-way match to crown an interim champion.
All signs point toward Storm walking out of Chicago with the interim AEW Women’s Title, so this match should be about creating doubt surrounding that outcome.
Wednesday’s tag match should be about the teamwork of Hayter and Baker. The more the heels look to be on the same page, the more doubt seeps in about who might win the four-way match at All Out. Look for Baker and Hayter to pick up a win, and look impressive doing so. Winners: Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter
Will Ospreay & Aussie Open vs The Elite
In what should be the most exciting match of the night, Will Ospreay and Aussie Open will take on Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks in what should be the main event of Dynamite.
Any opportunity to watch a match involving both Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay is must-see television, and even though Omega has only been back for a couple of weeks, this should be no different.
On the surface, this looks like a slam dunk win for the Elite. Ospreay and Aussie Open aren’t signed to AEW and the Elite are the odds-on favorite to be the first AEW Trios Champions. However, there is always the chance that reDRagon makes an appearance, costing Omega and the Bucks the match.
That said, there is no word on whether Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly are cleared to compete as of yet, so this contest should amount to a wild and fun affair that sends the Elite into the finals of this tournament at All Out. Winners: The Elite
