There’s a lot of anticipation heading into AEW All Out. The show will bring an end to several big feuds across the card, setting the stage for future action in All Elite Wrestling. The Casino Ladder Match will grant one individual a title shot and the six names in the bout are talented enough to put on a great show. But there’s one name that stands out among the group in need of a big victory the most and that is Andrade.

When Andrade joined AEW back in 2021. After coming off a less-than-stellar main roster run in WWE, wrestling fans wanted to see Andrade make it into the main event. He had all the talent, and when given the opportunity to show it, that fact continued to shine through. However, one year later that moment in the spotlight has yet to come.

To date, Andrade has a 16-10 record in AEW according to Cagematch. That number doesn’t stand out for a variety of reasons, but it’s especially underwhelming when bringing up the status that Andrade has in the perception of wrestling fans. Viewers were hoping to see matches akin to what he and Johnny Gargano did in WWE NXT, but that has yet to occur. Even the match that occurred in AAA between him and Kenny Omega wasn’t even mentioned on AEW television. Does AEW leadership have the same view on Andrade as those that watch the show and talk about it online? That’s a question that has yet to be answered.

One way to answer it positively would be to see Andrade win this ladder match. Looking at the roster that includes Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Penta, Rey Fenix, Rush, Dante Martin, and a Joker entrant; none of them have the status as a singles performer in need of a boost. Yuta and Castagnoli are both singles champions in Ring of Honor, they don’t need a guaranteed title shot in AEW. Rush isn’t fully established in AEW, partly because of his allegiance with Andrade. Martin is a fan favorite, but again he doesn’t stand out as a credible option to pick up a big singles win so far.

There’s no telling who The Joker may be at this time. This individual would need to be a big-name debut or a returning performer to catch the attention of fans with such a win. When looking at all those different layers, Andrade is still the name that stands out as the most in need of this win. Giving him the opportunity to build into a main event feud would help change the perception of his AEW run and take a step toward getting him back to where he was at the top of NXT.

The Casino Ladder Match at AEW All Out may be one of the hottest matches heading into Labor Day weekend. Andrade needs to pick up this victory and doing so would help change his position in the company.
