Triple H has been all about the big returns since taking over as Head of Talent and creative for WWE. Another big return happened during WWE, as former WWE NXT North American Champion, Bronson Reed made his big return to the promotion.

Fightful Select first reported about his potential return on Monday, but this came after multiple reports of WWE showing interest in bringing him back. Reed returned to help The Miz defeat Dexter Lumis in their ladder match during the December 19 edition of WWE Raw.

Reed was one of the many names released during the COVID-19 pandemic as the company blamed “budget cuts.” He was one of the most surprising individuals on that list, as he just came off a run as North American Champion and many expected a call-up to the main roster.

That release allowed Reed, now known as JONAH, to spread his wings across the wrestling world. In 2021 alone he would appear in IMPACT Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and other organizations. He included that run in 2022, taking part in matches for Progress, Warrior Wrestling, GCW, and more. He was involved in a big angle in IMPACT against Josh Alexander in early 2022. His biggest win came against wrestling icon, Kazuchika Okada, defeating him in Block A of the 2022 G1 Climax. Along the way, he also picked up wins against the likes of Jeff Cobb, Tom Lawlor, Bad Luck Fale, and others.

Bronson Reed is an intriguing return for the WWE roster. He was showing signs of growth while in NXT, but his run across other promotions the last year helped him become a valuable addition to any organization. That win over Okada and his entire showing in the G1 Climax shows that New Japan eyed him as a big attraction.
