Surprises are all the rage for the WWE Royal Rumble and these three should be involved in 2023.

The 2023 edition of the WWE Royal Rumble is a few days away, and the excitement for the annual showcase is growing. The Rumble is the kickoff to WrestleMania season and one of the more interesting events of the year. Big surprises are one of the main allures of the match, and minds are still speculating who will appear. This is a look at three surprise entrants for the women’s Royal Rumble who are not currently on WWE television.

Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green is a planned return for WWE, and the Royal Rumble would be a perfect moment to bring her back into the fold. Fightful Select reported that she’s all but signed to the company and awaiting creative that will bring her back to the fold. Some were speculating that she could be the one to take over as the lead of Toxic Attraction, but Green would fit better on the main roster. Using the Rumble to re-introduce her, while booking a strong performance would be a great way to create interest in her WWE return.

Beth Phoenix

Beth Phoenix popped up in past women’s Rumbles, and also has the historic spot of eliminating The Great Khali from the men’s match years ago. Her recent matches show she still has a lot of gas in the tank and can perform at a high level. It would be a sight to watch her compete against the young talent of today once again.

But of course, there’s the elephant in the room, Rhea Ripley. She and Beth Phoenix are poised for a major faceoff and confrontation at some point. Ripley is a favorite to win the women’s Rumble and seeing her do so along the way by having to go through Phoenix at the match would be the right move before setting her down the path to face Bianca Belair.

Meiko Satomura

It has been four months since Meiko Satomura appeared on WWE television. She and Roxanne Perez had a great match on WWE NXT back in September, and Satomura hasn’t been seen since. Satomura is one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world, and fans recognize her contributions to the industry. It would be an amazing moment to see her enter the Rumble and have a big spot as a top veteran. Satomura has achieved a lot throughout her career, but she’s yet to be in the Rumble match. 2023 should be the year that changes.
