Three matches to make for Dragon Lee in WWE NXT

Dragon Lee is a big get for WWE and these would be three showcase matches for their newest talent.

The announcement that WWE signed Dragon Lee caught a lot of wrestling fans by surprise. He is a talented performer with a resume that proves that opinion. As the time nears for his WWE debut as a part of the NXT brand, many look forward to the matches to come. WWE NXT is loaded with several talented performers, and these are three matches that jump off the page for Dragon Lee in 2023.

Axiom

Axiom has been a pleasant surprise in WWE NXT. There was some understandable apprehension when A-Kid’s name was changed to Axiom and he was placed under the mask. WWE has shown an amazing skill of making mass changes to wrestlers that fans have come to love in other spaces. But that wasn’t the outcome for Axiom. Instead, he’s continued to excel under this new gimmick, becoming a central place on the NXT brand and appearing week after week.

He and Nathan Frazer had a fantastic showing when they faced off in a best-of-three-match series. Axiom was also one of the best performers in the NXT Iron Survivor Challenge. Not only is he a great performer in the ring, but he’s showing a level of character in his promos that is getting him over, even without being able to see his face. He’d be the perfect opponent to slate across from Dragon Lee.

Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes checks all the boxes in professional wrestling. It’s only a matter of time before he’s on the main roster and showing a broader portion of the world what he can do. Until then, one way to get him primed to leave WWE NXT would be to put him in an angle against Lee. The two would have stellar matches, and Hayes wouldn’t be harmed by losing to Lee before heading up to the main roster. That is unless WWE has plans to finally give fans the feud between Hayes and Bron Breakker that everyone has wanted to see.

Nathan Frazer

As with Axiom, Nathan Frazer was a talented performer whom fans wanted to see land in another organization. When WWE swooped in to snatch him up from AEW, a lot of fans responded with the same tribalism that is rampant in professional wrestling. Yet, Frazer has continued to perform well when given the opportunity on WWE television. His resume includes showcase matches against the likes of Cameron Grimes, Santos Escobar, and even GUNTHER in NXT UK.

Lee versus Frazer would be the type of match that fans would immediately tune in to see. They would put on the type of high-flying affair that is common in today’s wrestling industry. It would be a good way to introduce Lee to the WWE NXT brand.

Dragon Lee is going to be a lot of fun in WWE and these are three great feuds to kick off his run in a positive manner.
