Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar are headed back to another feud and it should be Lashley who gets the win in the rubber match.

This is the time of year when big matches take centerstage throughout professional wrestling. The Royal Rumble not only builds new contenders but also helps start storylines that can flow through WrestleMania season. It seems like Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley are heading for another showdown in what should have all the makings of a major contest. When looking at the two men involved and their place within WWE, Lashley should be the one who comes out with a clean victory.

Lesnar and Lashley are two intriguing characters whose time in the WWE has run parallel to each other, up until last year. WWE finally decided to put the two men against each other, but thanks to the single-track booking of Vince McMahon, they did not get the proper time two individuals of their stature deserve. With Lesnar attacking Lashley twice before the Royal Rumble, and hints that they are both a part of the 30-man contest, Triple H has an opportunity to correct past mistakes.

If both men are in the Rumble, fans should expect them to be in there together, tearing after each other. The result would be they fall out at the same time, eliminating one another and creating a need for a third match. With both Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 39 on the horizon, either one of those PPVs would work as an opportunity to showcase these athletes.

The inclusion of The Hurt Business should Lashley the upper hand

But this time around, the situation includes the added wrinkle of The Hurt Business. Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, and Cedric Alexander were one of the bright spots during the COVID-19 era of WWE. And just as the company was getting back to business, McMahon made the decision to break them up and send them to the island of forgotten toys. Even the brief return against Goldberg was nothing more than to make him look stronger, a waste of the talent that was in that stable.

Yet, this return has been handled differently and comes with a story. If this group reforms with the mission to destroy Lesnar once and for all, WWE has to book them as a threat to the former WWE Champion. As big of a monster as Lesnar is, he can’t be booked to just run through the group like they are members of the Foot Clan. Doing so would not only hamper each of them but would cut any momentum that Lashley would have coming out of this feud.

Lesnar is a part-time talent and while he’s still a big star, he doesn’t need another victory over someone as well-received as Lashley. Lashley getting the win, and becoming a main event-level heel with The Hurt Business behind him makes him more valuable to the overall roster. The way to get there is to have him cleanly defeat Lesnar at a big show early in 2023.

Next. Sami Zayn should be the man to defeat Roman Reigns. dark

Bobby Lashley versus Brock Lesnar is going to be a fun feud heading into their third match. Hopefully, this is the moment that brings everything to a close with not only Lashley going over but The Hurt Business standing by his side.
