AEW Dynamite is back this Wednesday and will be broadcast live on TBS from Laredo, Texas.  All Elite Wrestling has been quite a roll lately, giving its fan base pay-per-view-worthy matches on a weekly basis on its flagship program.

While the upcoming card looks a bit weaker on paper than what we have grown accustomed to seeing over the past six weeks, there are still some exciting matchups and storylines that will progress as we move ever closer to Revolution.

Let’s take a look at the announced matches and what to expect from each on this week’s AEW Dynamite:

Orange Cassidy, Billy Gunn, & The Acclaimed vs Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, & Satnam Singh

As good as the AEW television product has been lately, one of the low points in many people’s minds was The Acclaimed losing their AEW Tag Team Titles to the Gunns in the midst of a hugely over babyface run with the belts.

On Wednesday, The Acclaimed will start life as former AEW Tag Team Champions when they and Billy Gunn team up with Orange Cassidy to take on Jay Lethal and his band of not-so-merry misfits.

One would think that the Gunns will be defending their newly won AEW Tag Team Titles in some way shape or form against The Acclaimed at Revolution.  So it makes sense for the Acclaimed to get right back to their winning ways in this eight-man tag team match.  Winners: Orange Cassidy, Billy Gunn, & The Acclaimed

Mark Briscoe vs Josh Woods

At long last, we are finally getting a Briscoe on AEW television regularly.  It is just too bad that it took the tragic events of January 17th to make it happen.

Mark Briscoe will be wrestling for a second time under the AEW banner, but this time it will not be in a tribute match to his late brother.  It seems as if Mark Briscoe may be about to feud with those associated with Mark Sterling, and it will begin on Wednesday when he goes one-on-one with Josh Woods.

Mark Briscoe’s continued appearance on AEW is a welcome sight and is really a win-win situation for both Briscoe and the promotion.  The tragedy the entire Briscoe family is dealing with in the sudden loss of Jay Briscoe is still felt among wrestling fans and plenty of those fans will tune into AEW just to watch Mark Briscoe compete.  It is also a great showcase for Mark Briscoe to show what he can do for the first time on a nationally televised stage, as for years he has been one-half of one of the best tag teams to ever do it, albeit without national exposure.

AEW seems to be planning a sentimental Mark Briscoe run, and that is something that is going to get wildly over as he moves up the card.  Winner: Mark Briscoe

Brian Cage vs Jack Perry

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry will be in action this Wednesday when he takes on Brian Cage.

AEW is continuing to keep Jack Perry involved in short storylines while they wait for the return of Christian Cage from injury.  This week, that is going to involve a somewhat out-of-the-blue rematch against Brian Cage.

Cage has been quite good in the ring since being reintroduced to AEW television after a long time off, though most of those good showings did come in defeat.

“The Machine” seems at long last, to have found his spot in AEW.  A mid-card guy that will be called upon to have good matches with top-of-the-card talents from time to time.   While Perry isn’t a top-of-the-card talent as of yet, he is definitely a bigger part of the future plans in AEW than Cage is.  Winner: Jack Perry

Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs Rush & Preston Vance in a Texas Tornado Tag Team Match

In what should be a wild and fun match, Rush and Preston Vance will take on Blackpool Combat Club members, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli.

Rush has had a very nice run since coming to AEW, putting on some very memorable matches and solidifying himself as someone that Tony Khan can rely on to consistently put on a show in the ring.

After having an absolute war versus Bryan Danielson last week Rush, along with Preston Vance, will try their hand at picking up a win over other members of the BCC.

Next. Three potential challengers for Samoa Joe's TNT Title. dark

The outcome of this match seems pretty cut and dry.   Any match where the already loose AEW rules are loosened up even more and the result is a match that is right in Jon Moxley’s wheelhouse.   Add that to the fact that losses for Mox or Castagnoli are few and far between and it all adds up to what should be a crowd-pleasing win for the babyfaces.  Winners: Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli
