Friday’s episode of AEW: Rampage was live from Cow Palace in San Francisco. There were four matches mixed in with video packages related to Revolution matches.

The show kicked off with a four-way tag team match between Aussie Open, Top Flight, Alex Reynolds and John Silver, and Blackpool Combat Club. Before the match started, Reynolds and Silver attacked Yuta and Castagnoli from behind. The four men continued going hard on one another throughout the match.

Dark Order appeared to have the match won until Yuta stole it from them. This could be setting up for the Revolution pre-show, Zero Hour.

After this week’s Dynamite, Jungle Boy vs. Christian Cage was made official for Sunday in a No Holds Barred match. During Rampage, a promo from Jungle Boy aired; he said he wanted to end Cage. He told Cage, “since you’re such a big fan of my dad, well, I’m going to give you a chance to say ‘hi’ to him when I put you in the ground!” The match is now called “The Final Burial”, which sounds like a Buried Alive match.

In another backstage promo, Mark Briscoe said it warmed his heart seeing a pair of brothers in the tag team Battle Royale. He & the Lucha Bros. are tired of Ari Daivari and the Varsity Athletes assaulting them. Instead of facing them in court, they want to face them in the ring at Zero Hour.

In a backstage interview with Renee Paquette, Konosuke Takeshita pondered going back to Japan after losing the “Face of the Revolution” ladder match. After lurking around for weeks, Don Callis gave him his card. Callis asked Takeshita to give him the opportunity to help him and if it doesn’t work, he’d drive him to the airport himself.

RIHO defeated Emi Sakura in an excellent match. The “Face of the Revolution” ladder match winner, Powerhouse Hobbs, squashed Serpentico in a few minutes. He declared the next chapter in the “Book of Hobbs” is the TNT Championship. The main event saw Dustin Rhodes and Keith Lee finally go take on Swerve Strickland and Parker Boudreaux. “Naturally Limitless” picked up the win.

As the show went off the air, Ricky Starks attacked Chris Jericho from behind as the latter sat at the announce table. The two exchanged blows at the top of the ramp before being separated by referees, Jerry Lynn, and Pat Buck.
