WrestleMania 39 was a major event from start to finish, and the ramifications will have a long-term impact throughout WWE.

Death. Taxes. And Roman Reigns is still your Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

When the referee signaled for the bell after doing a three count for Roman Reigns, it signaled the end of WrestleMania weekend, months of runouts, and “what ifs.” Whether or not your guy or girl won, you must admit it was still a hell of a ride.

But first, we saw Rhea Ripley become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. Sadly, for some, that was the only title change that happened on the grandest stage of them all. Every other champion retained their title by using specific tactics or in a dominant fashion.

WrestleMania means a lot to our pro wrestling fans and even pro wrestlers inside and outside the WWE. This is because so many big pro wrestling shows happen around the same city, hoping to create a boiling pot for us fans to enjoy.

But focusing on the grandest stage, we saw the work of soon-to-be WWE Legends. We saw Gunther, Sheamus, and Drew McIntyre in an absolute barn-burner where Gunther retained after a top-rope splash and a crushing powerbomb. Bianca Belair took on the dangerous Asuka and pulled out a win for a three-peat at WrestleMania despite all the odds, not in her favor.

Many more who weren’t in the title picture crushed the stage. Dominik and Rey Mysterio put us on the edge of our seats, and Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn and The Usos had us on the edge of our seats, waiting to see the results. But, overall, with matches, WWE does what it’s always done. It delivered.

Now, onto the results that everybody has been talking about since Sunday. Roman Reigns is still our champion, and many are unhappy about it as they feel that Cody Rhodes was the perfect choice to topple the giant. I say, what if he still is? Think about all the times you went to take on a challenge just to underestimate it and fall flat on your face. That doesn’t mean you’ll never be able to go back and try again or fight your way to get back to the same spot that escaped you. Bianca Belair. John Cena. Seth Rollins. These big names have fought back after a devastating loss to get right back to where they were and take the win. Just because something doesn’t happen right now doesn’t mean it’ll never happen. It just means it doesn’t happen right now.

Trust the process, and don’t get too bent out of shape over the story; instead, buckle in because I feel we’re in for a wild ride with so many twists and turns we’ll need a brown sack.

WrestleMania season is over, but just like Christmas, it shows up before you know it, and we’ll be right back to the runouts and “what ifs.” We all wanted to see Cody Rhodes finish the story, but we all seem to forget that not all levels go how we want them to; it’s all left up to the writer.

Next. How long before Kevin Owens before turns on Sami Zayn. dark
