Rhea Ripley is a key figure to push the WWE Women’s Division into the future.

Former RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has been a force to be reckoned with since joining The Judgment Day. Her meteoric rise, aided by her camaraderie with Dominik Mysterio, has set the tone for her to be the next big thing in the women’s division.

Time and again, The Nightmare has proven to be the glue that keeps The Judgment Day together. A menacing force on RAW, Ripley has tormented male and female wrestlers alike. She has also set the tone for how a monster heel should be in WWE.

In her role as Mami, the former women’s tag team champion has shown that she is versatile and can uplift those around her. The tandem of Dominik and Rhea is one of the greatest heel acts currently on WWE television. Their outrageous chemistry has evolved them into a perfect on-screen couple.

That being said, Ripley’s evolved physique and supreme in-ring acumen have made her one of the best in the company.

WWE has already proven that they are willing to move on from the four horsewomen in Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley and give the likes of Bianca Belair long title runs. The EST has been one of the best babyfaces in the company since winning the RAW Women’s Title at WrestleMania 38 from Lynch. However, to complement the rise of a popular babyface, there has always been the necessity for a monster heel. In that regard, Rhea Ripley seems to be the most viable option.

After her win at the Royal Rumble this year, The Nightmare has been pushed to the top of the women’s division. Not only was her Rumble victory sensational, but the manner of the win was also inspirational. She lasted throughout the match after starting at number one. In what became a record-breaking performance, Ripley proved that there is a benefit in putting her in the spotlight.

The former RAW Women’s Champion is now set to face Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania. In what is set to be the biggest women’s match of the year by far for WWE, there is another noteworthy feat that looms large.

If she is to win at WrestleMania, Rhea Ripley will dethrone arguably the most decorated champion in the history of the company. At a time when a new breed of wrestlers is taking center stage in women’s wrestling, The Judgment Day member will cement her place as a top dog by dethroning another megastar.

Rhea Ripley is a star that WWE can build around for the future

Upon dethroning Charlotte Flair, Ripley will perhaps set in motion the Four Horsewomen slowly moving into the twilight of their careers. It is not to say that they do not have much left in their tanks in terms of years, but their rule at the top of the roster could be coming to an end.

At only 26, Ripley is an investment that will pay dividends into the future, much like what happened with Flair, Lynch, Banks, and Bayley. Her stock will only rise while she continues to dominate the roster.

With Banks already leaving the company, it is no wonder that Triple H and the WWE hierarchy look at The Nightmare as a suitable and long-term alternative.

Several other stars apart from the four horsewomen are also set to enter their twilight years. Stars such as Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and Zelina Vega could be main eventers, but their time at the top will be over in a few years.

In another five years or so, Rhea Ripley will undoubtedly lead the WWE women’s division into a new era. It will see her catapult new promotees from NXT, such as Nikkita Lyons, Roxanne Perez, and Tiffany Stratton, among others, into becoming major stars.

Alongside stars such as Belair and Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley is WWE’s biggest bet to carry the division forward and sustain it as the global phenomenon it is today. The Four Horsewomen were instrumental in putting the company’s women’s division on the map, and the responsibility of carrying it forward lies on the broad shoulders of Ripley.
