Bianca Belair is getting the John Cena booking treatment
By Amit Shukla
Bianca Belair’s run as WWE Raw Women’s Champion faces growing comparisons to John Cena.
Bianca Belair is one of the best wrestlers in the WWE. The current Raw Women’s Champion has proven her mettle from her days in the WWE Performance Center. She has worked well between the ropes and the performance has been at par with the current wrestling standards. Bianca beat Becky Lynch and even went on to secure a win at WrestleMania 39.
As she heads over to WWE SmackDown, Bianca Belair has done all that she’s been asked and grown into a well-liked, fan favorite at the same time. She’s transitioned to not only a top name in the company but one that is catching mainstream momentum as well.
Times have changed and even women’s wrestling has evolved from the bra and panty matches or those times when women’s matches were considered a break from television. Bianca got her chance through Mark Henry, who was then an integral part of the WWE. Bianca’s CrossFit background helped her surpass expectations and she was signed with the WWE.
Bianca’s main roster debut was at WrestleMania 36 by saving The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and her husband Montez Ford) from Zelina Vega, Angel Garza, and Austin Theory, establishing herself as a member of the Raw roster. 2020 was the pandemic year, but it was also the time when ‘The EST of the WWE’ made waves.
Belair’s booking has been strong since her debut on the main event scene before her four-year time in NXT. She gets the fan’s reaction and it’s usually very positive because of her character and the way she portrays it. Bianca is an exceptional wrestler in the ropes and is on her way to getting the John Cena treatment.
Bianca would be the one to keep the fans involved and also be a better name in the business at the same time with her ability to convert fans in her favor on the mic. The wrestling skills of Bianca Belair need no introduction as she has proved to be a force to be reckoned with inside the squared circle.
John Cena was the epitome of professional wrestling for many years and it looks like WWE will be on the same tone with Bianca Belair. She is athletic, can put others over, and performs at an excellent level between the ropes. Bianca knows the rules of the game and has been integral to the women’s division.
Bianca’s win over Becky Lynch certifies that she is going to have a long run in the WWE. Belair’s performance has been exceptional against her opponents and this gives rise to the faith that she will be a wonderful performer in the days to come.
The Raw Women’s champion is getting the same set of backup and acknowledgment as John Cena did, so it is possible that she would be his second coming. It would be interesting to see if IYO Sky makes the change and wins the title from Belair as she is the new contender against the champion. A case can be made that Iyo stands less chance as the hype hasn’t been great.
Bianca’s performance has been top-notch and so it would be interesting to see how she fares in the coming days. It would be interesting to see if she puts through others or is another performer like others.
What do you think of her current booking? Sound off in the comments.
