WrestleMania season is upon us and the card is starting to fill out. We know that Bianca Belair will defend her RAW Women’s Championship, but her opponent is currently unknown.

Since women’s Royal Rumble winner, Rhea Ripley chose to have a WrestleMania 36 rematch that leaves Belair without an opponent for now. At Elimination Chamber, six women will compete in the Elimination Chamber match to determine “The EST’s” Mania opponent. Asuka, Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross, Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya, and Carmella have qualified for the match.

Belair main evented “The Show of Shows” with Sasha Banks in a historic bout. They were the first Black women to ever main event WrestleMania. At WrestleMania 38, Belair regained the RAW Women’s Championship from Becky Lynch.

Bianca Belair is “Ms. WrestleMania”

In an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Belair reflected on her past WrestleMania matches. “I’m excited. To main event the first one, the second one, I came out with an HBCU band and then I wrapped up a year-long feud with Becky Lynch and walked out as RAW Women’s champion.”

Knowing she has earned the nickname “Ms. WrestleMania” has made her want to continue the streak this year. Belair said when someone referred to her as “Ms. WrestleMania”, she thought, “oh, that means next year I’m going to have to go three-peat. So that’s my goal is to go three-peat. Each Mania I’ve been in the ring with amazing women. I couldn’t have done it without them. (…) I’m excited to go have another banger at WrestleMania.”

Belair was Daily DDT’s Women’s Wrestler of the Year (2022) and has already achieved another historic milestone by surpassing 300 days as champion. That makes her the first Black champion – male or female – in WWE history to hold any championship that long. April 2 or Night 2 of WrestleMania 39 will mark exactly one year as champion. Retaining her title at WrestleMania and completing her goal to 3-peat at Mania is best for business.
