WWE SmackDown Predictions: Bray Wyatt Will Save Jey Uso

WWE SmackDown is finalizing its road to WWE SummerSlam 2023, which already has a plethora of rumored blockbuster matches. On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, LA Knight will battle Sheamus for SummerSlam Battle Royal Momentum. In terms of segments, there are none officially announced but it is expected that Asuka, Bianca, and Charlotte continue their chaotic confrontations with Ms. MITB Iyo Sky lurking in the balance, and Roman Reigns and Jey Uso will continue their tribal story. But, who will save Jey Uso from The Tribal Chief’s wrath?

In other news regarding WWE SmackDown, there’s a lot of talk about LA Knight getting robbed from the U.S. Title picture but it appears that WWE wants a Latino babyface champion. Since Santos Escobar is now the number one contender for the U.S. Title, it makes all the sense in the world for him to dethrone Austin Theory, become the next U.S. Champion, and elevate the LWO. Maybe not all hope is gone for LA Knight because he has been in a feud with LWO, and he could be the one to dethrone that Latino babyface champion in the fall of 2023.

With that being said, the following will focus on the scheduled match between LA Knight and Sheamus as well as the idea of Bray Wyatt returning to save Jey Uso from the wrath of Roman Reigns on the road to WWE SummerSlam 2023.

WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on August 4, 2023, live on FOX, and Bray Wyatt will save Jey Uso en route to SummerSlam.

Who Will Save Jey Uso From Roman Reigns?

Bray Wyatt will save Jey Uso from Roman Reigns to avenge Reigns for ruining his SummerSlam moment three years ago at SummerSlam 2020 and taking away the Universal Title from him three years ago at PayBack 2020. Wyatt never got pinned to lose that title, as the Tribal Chief did pin Braun Strowman in a triple threat match to dethrone Wyatt. Since Jey Uso does not have Jimmy Uso in his corner and Reigns still has Sikoa, Wyatt will return to even the odds and help Jey Uso against Reigns before challenging Reigns for the world title at WWE PayBack 2023.

Prediction: Bray Wyatt

LA Knight vs. Sheamus [Grudge Match]

Sheamus will defeat LA Knight because of the reverse psychological go-home math that will lead to LA Knight winning the SummerSlam Battle Royal the following night. Battle Royal momentum is truly meaningless, so whoever wins this match won’t get much from the victory. However, these two superstars will likely be the final two superstars in the battle royal, and LA Knight can avenge this loss on SmackDown by eliminating Sheamus to win the entire thing. Besides, Sheamus, a former world champion, needs this win more, as he has not won a singles match in a while.
