WWE SummerSlam 2023 is this Saturday, and WWE has already announced a plethora of blockbuster matches for this “premium live event.” There are even some rumored returns like Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Rikishi, and even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson expected for this Saturday, so it should be a memorable event if WWE delivers on those returns. As for the planned matches themselves, if anyone truly has the clairvoyance to predict this entire match card correctly from beginning to end, it’s the almighty Mark Justice.

With that being said, the following will provide some rapid-fire match card predictions for what should be the biggest event of the summer: WWE SummerSlam 2023.

WWE SummerSlam 2023 is scheduled to take place on August 5, 2023, live on Peacock. Here are some rapid fire match card predictions for WWE SummerSlam 2023.

SummerSlam Battle Royal [Over-The-Top-Rope Free-For-All]

It almost feels as if this battle royal was created to assure that LA Knight was on the SummerSlam card. It’s basically a remedial measure for the fans, who were saddened by not only his loss at MITB but also his loss in the U.S. Title Invitational. When they advertised this battle royal, the two figureheads featured were LA Knight and Sheamus. It can be presumed that they will be the final two in the battle royal, and LA Knight will prevail at the end to win it all. Where does this battle royal take him? Hopefully, a title opportunity but that would be wishful thinking nowadays.

Prediction: LA Knight

Gunther (c) vs. Drew McIntyre [Intercontinental Championship]

Drew McIntyre will win this title match via disqualification or countout because this will assure that Drew wins on his first PPV back while Gunther continues his title reign due to champion’s advantage into the fall to pass the Honky Tonk Man record. WWE is all about milestones, and this is actually a milestone the fans are invested in since Gunther has had such a memorable and well-deserved Intercontinental Title reign. By having Drew win by countout or disqualification here, it will also give WWE a reason for a rematch at the next PPV where McIntyre can finally win the title.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre (via DQ or countout)
