WWE Raw is continuing its road to WWE Fastlane 2023, which is currently up in the air pertaining to any ongoing Raw feuds.

On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, Rhea Ripley is scheduled to defend her World Women’s Championship against Raquel Rodriguez with Dirty Dom banned from ringside. In terms of segments, Cody Rhodes will be returning to WWE Raw with potentially another announcement other than the one on the Grayson Waller Effect regarding Jey Uso’s trade to Raw. Gunther will also be celebrating his breaking of the Honky Tonk record.

In other news regarding WWE Raw, Zoey Stark earned the respect of Shayna Baszler after their match last week, so it will be interesting to see if they form an alliance to pursue the tag gold Baszler never got her rematch for after parting ways with Ronda Rousey.

Also, Drew McIntyre seems to have a score to settle with Kofi Kingston, who cost him the victory in his tag match with Matt Riddle against Viking Raiders. His heel turn continues to be teased in the weeks building to Fastlane, and he has alluded to a plethora of babyface targets, including Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

With that being said, the following will focus on the announced matches and the idea of Cody Rhodes leaving WWE Raw on the road to WWE Fastlane 2023.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on September 11, 2023, live on the USA Network, and Cody Rhodes will leave WWE Raw en route to WWE Fastlane 2023.

The fact that WWE booked Cody Rhodes to announce Jey Uso’s move to Raw was not merely a means to get Jey away from his brother, Jimmy, on SmackDown after their fallout. It was a foreshadowing for Cody to go to SmackDown to “finish the story” against Roman Reigns for the world title.

Even Adam Pearce teased that someone would be traded to SmackDown in exchange for Jey coming to Raw. After defeating Brock Lesnar, Rhodes has already expressed that he does not want Seth Rollins’ world title, so he is directionless on Raw and needs to go to SmackDown to continue his journey.

Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez [Women’s World Championship -Dirty Dom Banned From Ringside]

Rhea Ripley will retain the Women’s World Title against Raquel Rodriguez in the main event even with Dirty Dom banned from ringside. Ripley is way too established as a dominant champ to lose her world title on a random episode of Raw.

If she is ever going to lose her world title, it will be on PPV. Also, this match will prove that she does not always need distractions from Dirty Dom to successfully retain her title. After the match, Liv Morgan will likely return from injury to save her friend, Raquel, and challenge Ripley for the title as revenge for her vicious attack in August.

Prediction: Rhea Ripley
