WWE SmackDown Predictions: John Cena Will Help LA Knight

WWE SmackDown is continuing its road to WWE FastLane 2023, which is currently up in the air pertaining to any ongoing SmackDown feuds. On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, LA Knight is scheduled to battle The Miz in a rematch from PayBack, and John Cena is scheduled to be in attendance, as he will be a special guest on The Grayson Waller Effect in what could be teased buildup for a future tag match: John Cena and LA Knight vs. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Apparently, this will be the first Friday Night SmackDown of the Endeavor Era.

In other news regarding WWE SmackDown, Iyo Sky is scheduled to defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Asuka next week on SmackDown. She also has Charlotte Flair, Shotzi Blackheart, and Bianca Belair to worry about during her title reign. Rey Mysterio, the U.S. Champion, is a big red target on SmackDown with Escobar’s inevitable heel turn still looming. Even LA Knight alerted LWO that he is coming for that United States Title. Judgment Day also has unfinished business with The O.C., especially after screwing AJ Styles in the main event last week,

With that being said, the following will focus on the announced match and the idea of John Cena helping LA Knight on the road to WWE FastLane 2023.

WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on September 15, 2023, live on FOX, and John Cena will help LA Knight en route to WWE FastLane 2023.

LA Knight vs. The Miz [Grudge Match]

LA Knight will defeat The Miz in this PayBack rematch unless WWE is going for a trilogy in this feud. However, that’s unnecessary because it looks like WWE is already building a tag feud featuring John Cena and LA Knight vs. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Since Miz owned the invisible Cena on the mic for being the special guest referee during his match with LA Knight at PayBack, Cena will get his comeuppance by screwing Miz in this match to put an end to this feud that should have ended in 2011. LA Knight will be elevated by Cena in tag action going forward.
