With WrestleMania quickly approaching, there is some time for Roman Reigns to face certain challengers for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

When it comes to WWE, time goes by quicker than anyone can imagine. WrestleMania is already around the corner and the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns is slowly running out of potential challengers for his title. There are two PLE events before WrestleMania: Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. Due to the uncertainty of Roman being booked for those events, there’s hope that he can appear and defend his championship. Here are some potential challengers for Roman Reigns before WrestleMania.

Randy Orton

This past Friday on SmackDown, Randy Orton made it clear that he intends to target everyone from The Bloodline, including the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. With Orton signing a contract to join SmackDown, it seems clear that he is Roman’s next challenger at Royal Rumble. Orton being back with a vengeance brings fuel to his feud with Roman as he was the one who put Orton on the shelf over a year ago.

With this rivalry being fresh for Roman, it would be the perfect program to pass the time before WrestleMania season due to Orton never challenging Roman for his title. If a Premium Live Event match does happen between the two, it would be the second time that these two men compete one one-on-one at at a PLE.

AJ Styles

Speaking of being put on the shelf, AJ Styles is another person who has been put out of action by Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline. What WWE should do is marinate their time with AJ being off television, while having Orton pursue Roman’s coveted championship. After Roman beats Orton at Royal Rumble, have AJ make his return to SmackDown with the same intentions Orton had. From there, AJ can face Roman at Elimination Chamber: Perth.

Five Opponents at Once

Throughout Roman’s historic championship run over the past few years, it’s safe to say that he has made numerous enemies throughout his triumphant reign. One thing that WWE hasn’t done for Roman as champion is have him defend his title inside the Elimination Chamber. If that route is chosen, then it would be a huge obstacle for The Tribal Chief as he must deal with five other challengers who have had a significant history of trying to dethrone him.

Roman could defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against challengers such as Randy Orton, AJ Styles, LA Knight, Kevin Owens, and Rey Mysterio. With all of these men who failed to defeat Roman, they would all have the opportunity to become champion while The Bloodline would be barred from the chamber. Although Roman would pick up the win by his usual cheating ways, it would build a lot of momentum as he goes on to hopefully face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania, where Cody would finally finish his story.
