4 TNA Wrestling stars to add to the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble

WWE and TNA Wrestling announced a multi-year partnership that started interesting conversations across the wrestling industry. These two promotions were already working together in a talent exchange with WWE NXT. Does this deal mean more surprises are to come? If that’s the case, the WWE Royal Rumble is a few short weeks way, and the perfect night for TNA Wrestling to show up and show up big during one of the most important matches of the year. Here are four stars who would be great surprises.

Masha Slamovich

Count on it, Masha Slamovich will compete in a WWE ring. Where will it happen? Potentially WWE NXT, as she’s already made an appearance in that brand. But with the Women’s Royal Rumble on the horizon, it would make sense for her to take part in that match as well. Jordynne Grace and Mickie James both stepped into the over-the-top battle royale as TNA Knockouts Champion. Slamovich is a proud champion herself and it would be great to see her follow in that trend in 2025.

Alex Hammerstone

Alex Hammerstone is a sight to see. He may not be too familiar to the hardcore WWE fanbase, but he’s the type of performer who is right up the alley of this promotion. He appeared in NXT in 2024 and had a fun MEAT match against Oba Femi. But that isn’t the ceiling of what Hammerstone can do. Look back to his run in MLW which included a massive feud against Jacob Fatu. Seeing them rekindle this battle briefly in the Royal Rumble would be a crazy moment.

Gail Kim

This would be a career moment for Gail Kim. Kim is a trailblazer in women’s wrestling. Her name may not immediately come up with talking about the icons of the industry, but her achievements, when she achieved them, cannot be ignored. Kim is a first-ballot Hall of Famer in all descriptions of the phrase. Hearing Gail Kim’s music and seeing her walk down the aisle to step into a match that would have never happened during her era would be a massive moment for professional wrestling. Here's to hoping it happens in 2025.

Josh Alexander

Josh Alexander may be the biggest free agent available in 2025. Fans are wondering where he will show up next. In the eyes of many, WWE stands out as the best place for him to land at this point of his career. Alexander fits the WWE style of sports entertainment, and it would be fantastic to see him go up against the biggest stars in the promotion. Introducing him at the Royal Rumble would draw parallels to another important TNA figure, AJ Styles and that would be the catalyst to a major angle in the future.
