AEW Full Gear 2024 Predictions: Shane McMahon Will SCREW Orange Cassidy
By Mark Justice
Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Ricochet [International Championship]
Konosuke Takeshita dethroned Will Ospreay for the International Championship in a triple threat match with Ricochet at AEW WrestleDream last month, and that title reign has "transitional champion" written all over it. Many AEW fans probably want Takeshita to have a sufficient reign to develop his character, but the reality is that AEW wanted to get the title to Ricochet for a successful transition from WWE to AEW without making Will Ospreay look weak in defeat. Once Ricochet wins the title and has a sufficient reign, AEW will inevitably circle back to Ospreay for an epic title match.
Prediction: Ricochet
Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher [Grudge Match]
Will Ospreay will focus on gaining momentum victories to transition into the main event scene or at least the upper mid card vortex. It looks like Don Callis has Aussie Open in shambles because Ospreay has had issues with his sidekicks in Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis since joining the Callis Family. Clearly, Ospreay is not going to lose to his sidekicks. That would be like Batman losing to Robin. That would be like Luigi losing to Mario. That's would be like Jerry losing to Tom. And, if Jerry ever lost to Tom, the show would be over. The same applies to AEW if Ospreay loses to Fletcher.
Prediction: Will Ospreay
