AEW Winter Is Coming Predictions For Dec 11, 2024: Adam Cole Will Expose MJF
By Mark Justice
AEW Winter is Coming 2024 is taking place this Wednesday, live on TBS, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, and AEW has already confirmed six epic matches for this event. These matches range from Continental Classic Round Robin Tournament matches to a major World Title Match between Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa, who shocked the world at AEW Full Gear when they double-crossed each other. With that being said, it is now time for the highly anticipated Winter is Coming 2024 Predictions, where Adam Cole will EXPOSE MJF on the road to AEW Worlds End 2024.
Adam Cole vs. Kyle O' Reilly [Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal]
Adam Cole will defeat Kyle O'Reilly to earn his shot at battling MJF at AEW Worlds End because it has been an entire year since Adam Cole was revealed as the Devil who screwed MJF out of his AEW World Title. It was at Worlds End in December 2023 when that moment happened, and it would be baffling if Adam Cole and MJF did not officially settle their beef at the PPV they made famous with that moment. Roderick Strong had no business battling MJF at Full Gear, and Kyle O'Reilly has no business battling MJF at Worlds End. The slow burn is no longer necessary here.
Prediction: Adam Cole
Jamie Hayer vs. Willow Nightingale [International Women's Cup]
Jamie Hayter will defeat Willow Nightingale to qualify because she was already robbed of her credibility when AEW booked her to return from injury on the pre-show of AEW All In and proceeded to treat her as if she is not a former AEW World Champ. Hayter needs to regain momentum quickly. It will be interesting to see if she ever continues her storyline with fellow former AEW World Champion, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. However, it seems AEW just dropped all of those storylines they built in the women's division, which is sad, considering their booking of said division has been egregious to date.
Prediction: Jamie Hayter
Ricochet vs. Brody King [AEW Continental Classic Gold League Match]
Ricochet will defeat Brody King because he needs to bounce back from losing to Konsuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship at Full Gear and all his other PPV losses since debuting in AEW. Ricochet has gotten in hot water with his comments lately, as he made a bold statement saying that AEW would not be here without him. It is understandable that Ricochet has some influence in the world of pro wrestling, but attributing only himself to the existence of AEW is quite bizarre. Nonetheless, he will hopefully pick up a win here to get back in the title picture where he belongs.
Prediction: Ricochet
Will Ospreay vs. Claudio Castagnoli [AEW Continental Classic Gold League Match]
Will Ospreay will defeat Claudio Castagnoli because he needs to bounce back from losing to Konsuke Takeshita for the AEW International Title in a triple threat with Ricochet at WrestleDream and to Kyle Fletcher at Full Gear. Claudio is already a Trios Champ, so he does not need the win as much as Ospreay does, especially since Ospreay is poised to be elevated to the top and become a major player for the future of AEW. This match looks like a banger on paper will likely steal the show, as these two superstars have superb in-ring prowess and their styles will mesh eminently well.
Prediction: Will Ospreay
Mariah May (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa [AEW World Title]
Mariah May will retain her AEW World Title against Mina Shirakawa because it is too early to end her reign and Mina does not have a sufficient storyline to dethrone May. Although Timeless Toni Storm announced her "retirment," it is likely a ruse to throw fans off guard, as she still has unfinished business with her star pupil in May, The most likely contenders to actually dethrone May could be either Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. or the TBS Champion herself, Mercedes Mone, who is undefeated in singles competition and could quite frankly win both belts by the time AEW hits 2025.
Prediction: Mariah May
Death Riders vs. Jay White & Orange Cassidy [Tag Match]
Death Riders will defeat Jay White and Orange Cassidy because there will be enough outside interference from Claudio and Wheeler Yuta to assure that the AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley, and Trios Champ, PAC, attain the victory here. Even Santa Shane McMahon could pop up after all the teases that have been happening lately. The true threat to Moxley's World Title seems to be Darby Allin, who ran into BCC with a car at Full Gear and has built a long term story with Moxley ever since Moxley snatched his AEW World Title Shot from him in September while Bryan Danielson was champ.
Prediction: Death Riders
