WWE Backlash is set for Saturday, May 10 from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. John Cena is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton in what will be their last time in a one-on-one affair. There’s a lot to look forward to on the show. There are growing rumors about who will be at the show and how their appearances will play into the final outcomes.
Alexa Bliss and the Wyatt Sicks Return
Fans are wondering where Alexa Bliss is and why she hasn’t been on television. The speculation is that Bliss will be involved with the Wyatt Sicks at some point, but the faction was removed from television due to injury. That has left everyone in a lurch and fans aren’t happy about one of the most popular women’s wrestlers on the roster being off television. There are growing rumors that Bliss and the Wyatt Sicks will be hinted at on Backlash in a sense that will let fans know who is their next “target.” Pay special attention because Bliss’s involvement with the faction stands to be one of the biggest post-WrestleMania angles.
Jeff Cobb makes WWE debut
Jeff Cobb is a name that mainstream WWE viewers may not recognize, but one they may be introduced to soon. PWI Elite mentioned that sources told the outlet Cobb is expected to be at WWE Backlash. Is he set to be backstage, or will he appear on camera in some fashion? This can play out in several different ways. Maybe he’s a new member to Judgment Day that Dominick Mysterio brings to the group without Finn Balor knowing, furthering their split. Or maybe he gets involved in the fatal four-way match. Either way, he’d have a big impact if he’s introduced on the PLE.
Bill Goldberg to confront Gunther
Gunther and Bill Goldberg had a moment back at WWE Bad Blood 2024. Gunther loves to take shots at Goldberg, and it looks like this is coming to ahead in the form of the latter’s retirement match. Gunther is set to take on Pat McAfee at WWE Backlash. Do not be surprised if Gunther demolishes McAfee, going as far as to go too violent and get disqualified. The continued beating would lead to Goldberg coming out to make the save, setting up their future match.
