Alexa Bliss was one of the major talking points coming out of the Royal Rumble. Her return was a surprise to many as it came together at the last minute. Bliss is a big name in the women’s division and her career hits another milestone as she has signed with Paradigm Talent Agency.

Bliss’s return was one of the bigger moments of the weekend. She stepped away from wrestling in 2023, first for maternity leave and then for health reasons that followed. Fans long wanted to see her back in action, and speculation grew that she’d be at the Royal Rumble. The plans came together at such a last minute, that Fightful Select reported Bliss arrived Saturday and many did not know she’d be in the match. Shotzi was originally planned to be in that spot but was replaced by Bliss. Fightful also reported that Bliss has signed a new five-year contract with WWE.

Alexa Bliss returned as the 21st entrant into the Royal Rumble. She lasted 11 minutes before being eliminated by the combination of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. She received a massive ovation from fans when her music hit. As of February 6, her return has 1.1 million views and 41,654 likes.

Alexa Bliss is headed to SmackDown

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Bliss is heading to SmackDown. When looking at the landscape of the women’s roster on both shows, it makes sense for her to make the shift. The Wyatt Sicks are currently on SmackDown but have not been on television in recent weeks. Bliss was closely tied to Wyatt before leaving in 2023 and was one of the first to comment on his untimely passing. Many expect WWE to continue that angle in some form in the coming weeks.

Outside of that, Bliss gives SmackDown another performer who is immediately ready for the main event. Tiffany Stratton is a popular champion, with expectations being she’s heading for a feud with women’s Royal Rumble winner, Charlotte Flair. Bliss immediately works as a potential contender down the line, having star power comparable to any other name on the roster.
