Liv Morgan versus Alexa Bliss would be big for the WWE Women's Division
Liv Morgan is no longer the WWE Women’s World Champion. She dropped the championship to Rhea Ripley and after the January 13 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, it looks like that angle is finally over. Morgan shouldn’t be pushed entirely out of the main event picture. Instead, she should get a big storyline heading into WrestleMania season. Against whom? The perfect answer is a returning Alexa Bliss.
Alexa Bliss is a huge fan favorite among WWE fans. The minute she made the jump from NXT to the main roster, fans brought into her character, look, and everything about her. There’s a reason 5-time WWE Women’s Champion and a 3-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She’s been away from the WWE for two years since having her first child, but that doesn’t stop fans from asking media personalities about her big return. As the Royal Rumble approaches, speculation about whether Bliss will be a surprise entrant continues to rise. If she is, that would be the perfect opportunity to create some animosity between her and Morgan.
There are a lot of different ways an angle between Morgan and Bliss could run. Of course, there’s the easy opportunity to run the angle of a returning superstar being confronted by a current name looking to protect their “spot.” That would be a sensible story to tell.
But what if WWE went a step further to mix in The Wyatt Sicks and Judgment Day? Fans want to see Bliss return to The Wyatt Sicks angle, as she had close ties to Bray Wyatt during his run with the company. She would fit in perfectly with that angle as it continues with Bo Dallas and company. How would Morgan and The Judgment Day fit in? That group has done their fair share of horrible deeds that would make them perfect targets for the Wyatts.
The Wyatt Sicks were recently moved to WWE SmackDown thanks to the “transfer window,” and now that Finn Balor is done with Damian Priest, the same should happen to Judgment Day close to the Royal Rumble. Adding Bliss to that angle would allow her to reunite with Nikki Cross under her new character, while pitting two women against Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. This would be another big angle in the SmackDown women’s division putting a spotlight on ladies outside of the title picture.
Fans want to see Alexa Bliss return and when she does it’s going to be a huge moment. Liv Morgan has carved out her place at the top of the women’s division and even though she doesn’t have the title, she should still be considered a threat at any time. Building a story between her and Bliss would be the right direction to go.
