Andrew Schulz is a popular name in media today, but he comes with his own slew of problems.

Andrew Schulz is a popular name in the media these days. He’s also someone who WWE fans and viewers should become more familiar with as well. Schulz has made an appearance during recent episodes of WWE Monday Night Raw and he’s someone who will be seen around in the future. This is yet another move that many will complain about, especially those who are familiar with Schulz’s antics and controversies over the years.

TC of Wrestlevotes posted on Twitter the following:

“I’ve heard from WWE sources that comedian Andrew Schulz has made a strong impression with many people within the company. Schulz, who has several specials on Netflix, made two appearances on Raw in 2025. Expect to see more of Schulz featured in WWE programming moving forward.”

WWE has long been about its celebrity involvement, and that has only grown since TKO has become involved with the product. Andrew Schulz isn’t a surprising addition to the list of names who’ve appeared and been involved with the product. But he does fall firmly into the category that includes Logan Paul and Tony Hinchcliffe as names who the company is embraced, much to the chagrin of those who are well aware of their social infractions outside of wrestling.

Andrew Schulz & his position in today’s media landscape

Andrew Schulz is a personality from New York City, mostly known for his comedy stylings and his prominent podcasts, The Brilliant Idiots and Flagrant. Throughout the years, he’s become one of the most well-known voices in media, specifically covering topics relevant in culture, news, politics, sports, and other areas.

Schulz has been criticized multiple times for statements that were seen as wholly controversial. Whether it was his 2024 public dispute with Kendrick Lamar, his comments about Black women on his podcast, and use of language deemed offensive by disabled peoples. This type of behavior has become commonplace in today’s media landscape, where the idea of what is edgy or “telling it like it is” has moved further into the realm of offense and hate speech.

In the eyes of many, Andrew Schulz represents a “pushing back” of being politically correct and cancel culture. The same could be said about Hinchcliffe who has appeared on WWE Raw and did “roast” during WrestleMania weekend that did not go over well once video footage leaked. Even as Andrew Schulz begins to openly criticize President Donald Trump, many are calling it too late because his platform was initially used to champion those same causes.

WWE is a sports entertainment promotion that uses professional wrestling as its method of entertaining. Within that, the promotion is leaning more toward the political right in a way similar to what has occurred with the UFC since its purchase by Endeavor, the parent company to TKO Group Holdings. Andrew Schulz is a voice within that segment of culture and his rumored positive reception and growth of involvement within WWE shouldn’t be a shock. But it can still be a disappointment for some who’ve dedicated hours of their lives and money to this company and its product.
