WrestleMania 41 is bearing down on the wrestling community. The biggest event of the year will feature several of the top names in the business. One such individual is Bianca Belair. The multiple-time champion continues to grow her star into one of the most well-loved fan favorites in wrestling. She’s such a star that WWE has positioned her to remain undefeated at WrestleMania. It’s a streak that initially went under the radar, and now it is one that WWE should work to keep going.
Bianca Belair carries four straight wins heading into WrestleMania 41. Along the way she won three title matches against Mercedes Mone (then Sasha Banks), Asuka, and Becky Lynch. At WrestleMania 40 she, Naomi, and Jade Cargill defeated Damage CTRL to keep that streak going.
There’s no telling where she will be involved in WrestleMania 41, but it’s a given that she will take part in some match. She’s the favorite heading into Elimination Chamber, but there’s a major angle brewing between she, Jade Cargill, and Naomi – if the WWE can pull it off correctly. It’s hard to see WWE booking Belair over Rhea Ripley at this time, but she, against any other competitor should be a given.
Bianca Belair remaining undefeated would have a huge impact
Bianca Belair has the potential to be a John Cena-like figure for the women’s division. Many believe that she could stay a babyface for the entirety of her career. Cena did so for the bulk of his run and it had massive benefits. Especially when looking at his impact with the Make a Wish Foundation. Belair is already proving that she’s open to doing the work in a public space, as she’s frequently front and center at WWE charitable events.
But what if WWE turned Belair heel? There’s growing suspicion that she and Naomi conspired to attack Cargill, which would be a huge turn in the story and for their characters. Belair started as a heel in NXT and fans still loved her for who she was. She wasn’t really a heel in the classic sense of the word, but more a character who didn’t take anything from anyone standing across from her. Seeing her play that character up with her level of experience today would be an interesting sight to see.
Undefeated streaks at WrestleMania go hand-in-hand with the Undertaker. It was a build that could have been used to launch a superstar to a new plane, but was instead used on Brock Lesnar at the last minute. If anything was learned from that moment, the WWE has the opportunity to do something similar with Bianca Belair, with the outcome benefiting the entire women’s division. Will WWE do it? That’s the bigger question, but there’s no question regarding her star power for years to come.
