SummerSlam 2025 is one night down, and there’s a lot to talk about coming out of Night One of the PLE. Seth Rollins’ cash-in was a huge story, especially since he was supposedly “injured” heading into the show. While that work was easily predicted, there’s bad news on the injury front as well. Bron Breakker was apparently injured during his match on the card, and there are developments around that topic in the hours that have followed.

Bron Breakker teamed with Bronson Reed to take on Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. The latter team were victorious, and this was a well-received opener to the show. However, Breakker was seen limping during the match and needed help getting to the back. Later in the night he appeared alongside Rollins with his knee taped, moving slowly around the ring during the celebration.

Fightful Select provided an update on Breakker’s status, using a reader’s in-person report as the source. According to the Fightful Select reader, they attended an in-person event with Breakker who was “about an hour later and was limping into the area.” The source went on to say that Breakker was given a chair and that his knee “seemed a bit swollen.” Fightful also noted that a source confirmed he was going to be evaluated, but nothing more was provided beyond that.

Bron Breakker being seriously injured would be a huge blow to the main event scene on WWE Monday Night Raw. He, along with Rollins and Reed are the central force on the show. The initial fear around Rollins’ injury was that the entire main event would have to be switched up. Initial thoughts were that the WWE would get behind Breakker as the top name on the brand. Breakker has that much cache at an early part of his career, so if he misses time due to injury that would hinder both the story and the momentum that’s been built behind him.

SummerSlam 2025 Night Two is just a few hours away, and fans are still talking about how Night One ended. Bron Breakker’s potential injury is one of the biggest stories coming out of the show. Here’s to hoping the injury isn’t as bad as it looked. For more news about Breakker, WWE, and all things professional wrestling, stick to Daily DDT.
