Rumors about Chris Jericho continue to gain steam as 2025 comes to an end. As the year closes out, Jericho is still missing from AEW television, causing many to speculate that his time with the promotion is over. He's thrown fuel on the fire when talking about TNA Bound for Glory during a recent episode of Talk is Jericho.

"That crowd looked huge. It looked huge. It was like a WWE-level crowd," Jericho said on his show. "The place was packed. I was watching this, not saying anytong out of school here, but comparing it to watching Dynamite when they were at the ECW Arena, which looked like a Tony Candela taping, sorry, it did. TNA looked like the second biggest company in the world. That was amazing. The presentation was amazing. It looked like a WrestleMania, it really did."

That is quite the statement from Jericho, a man who is a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. Jericho has a smart mind when it comes to pro wrestling, and praising TNA Wrestling as it is in the midst of a multi-year partnership with WWE is, in a way, also praising WWE. Plus, TNA Wrestling is one of the few promotions in which Jericho has not had the opportunity to leave his mark. If anything is true about him, Chris Jericho is known to love to collect titles wherever he lands.

This is the right time to start this build as well. Royal Rumble 2026 is not far away. With the event being in Saudi Arabia, there's going to be an even bigger push to make this a "must see" show. That means that the surprises for the men's and women's rumble matches will be even more special. Chris Jericho fits perfectly into that role as a big name who could show up and have an impact. Plus, 2026 could be the year that he joins the WWE Hall of Fame and what a way to welcome him back into the promotion.

On the other side of the equation, there's certainly concern about where Chris Jericho would fit in the men's division. The main roster already has an issue where the men's division grows older as several of the top names are already older than 40 years and up. Adding Jerich would only shoot that average age up as men like Bron Breakker, Oba Femi, and Je'Von Evans are ready to break through into the main event.

Chris Jericho may be back in the WWE fold sooner, rather than later. His latest comments have kicked off more speculation that his face will show up in the product in the coming months.
