Bayley is one of the most popular names in professional wrestling. Along with her “stable mates” in the Four Horsewomen, she brings a massive fanbase with her. That is why many took to social media to complain about WWE’s move to remove her from WrestleMania 41, a move that many saw as outright disrespectful.
During the pre-show build to Night One of WrestleMania 41, an angle was run in which Bayley was attacked and taken out. She was scheduled to team with Lyra Valkyria to take on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Championship. PWInsider reported that Bayley was not injured, but this was the plan from the start. Valkyria was instructed to find a new partner.

The constant disrespect towards Bayley is crazy… she needs to do like her wife and leave that company.
Fans immediately took to social media to protest the move. In many ways, Bayley is seen as the MVP of the women’s roster. She and then Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone) carried much of WWE during the pandemic era, appearing on both shows while holding all the women’s titles on the main roster. This isn’t the first time Bayley has been held out of WrestleMania, but it was met with a swift backlash online.
WWE did not have to do Bayley like this
Expectations are that Becky Lynch will fill in as the surprise tag team partner. While that is a big, and long overdue return for the women’s division, Bayley’s position on the show did not have to suffer. There were several other avenues that WWE could have used to bring Lynch back, including bring her back weeks earlier when she initially re-signed with the company.

Mercedes Mone responded with a single tweet online, causing speculation that she’s going to attempt to convince her friend to leave the organization. Bayley signed her current deal in late 2023 and there’s no word on when that will expire.
