WWE has a packed women's division, and each show is bursting at the seams with talent. However, there is one performer in WWE NXT who seems out of place, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Jordynne Grace has all the makings of a superstar and it is far past the time for her to make the move to the WWE main roster. Particularly WWE SmackDown where she could have an immediate impact.
Jordynne Grace was a popular name in professional wrestling long before she made the jump from TNA Wrestling to the WWE. She's on the short list of the most impactful (pun intended) women to ever step foot in the promotion. That is why there was such surprise and excitement when she popped up in the WWE Women's Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant. That excitement, sans the surprise, followed Grace when she made her move to WWE, but the push forward has stalled.
It is understandable why Grace is still in NXT. The developmental brand of WWE needs veterans such as Grace who can help lead the new school of women's talent. But that spot isn't how Grace should be used at this point. She could easily be a fresh face on SmackDown, stepping in at a time when the show needs fresh faces across the board. She could be a believable foil for the likes of new WWE Women's Champion, Jade Cargill, or stand across from any other woman on the roster. If she's not going to capture the NXT Women's Championship, and is now failing at capturing the TNA Knockout's Championship, keeping her in NXT has the potential to cause more harm than good.
Grace was considered a hot prospect when her time with TNA Wrestling was winding down. Even though it was clear that she was heading to WWE, Grace was the type of performer who every organization should have made an overture to obtain her services. She's that good. Unfortunately, she's not getting the type of booking to reflect that right now in WWE.
Jordynne Grace came into WWE main roster ready. She's been in NXT long enough. It is time to see her on the top shows competing against the top women in the business. She's earned that spot and is long overdue to show the WWE Universe what everyone else familiar with her game knows. She's ready for this spot.
