Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been one of the hottest talking points the last few months. Their WWE contracts were set to expire on August 10, and there is rampant spectulation on if they are truly leaving the company. WWE has attempted to keep more of its inner workings from leaking to the press, and some online are wondering if this situation is a "work" or not. However, it seems like this is the real deal.
Fightful Select released an in-depth report about the situation on Sunday, August 10. Several key details point to the situation not being a work.
"Sources in WWE both on the talent and the creative end claim that they've been told that as of now, the departure is real," the Fightful report states.
Fans should not be surprised with this situation, as WWE has a penchant of pushing back against creative input from its fan and viewers. Kross has gained a lot of momentum in 2025, with a loud amount of fans online wanting to see him move up the mid-card and eventually the main event scene. That never came. In fact, the closest he would come is the recent match he had with Sami Zayn at SummerSlam 2025. Kross and Scarlett were moved to the Alumni section, which typically signals a performer is no longer with the company.
Where could Karrion Kross and Scarlett show up next?
"Go to AEW" is typically the response that a lot of fans have when a popular name leaves WWE. In some instances, it works. Such as Ricochet's current run in the company. In other situations, it does not like Rusev and Andrade. Kross would be an interesting name to move over, but both he and Scarlett would be best served if they wernt to an organization like TNA Wrestling or New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Both would be solid options. In NJPW, Kross would be a big foreign threat, and his in-ring style would translate as a heel. In TNA Wrestling, Kross has some time in that company and his character work could continue. Either one of these locations may be where they show up next.
