WWE has a talented young star on the roster and needs to find the right place for her sooner, rather than later.

The WWE women’s division is stacked. There are so many performers who continue to give fans amazing matches and character development every week. Whether we’re talking about established stars like Bianca Belair, IYO Sky, or Bayley, or looking at young performers like Jaida Parker, Roxanne Perez, or Sol Ruca, this division is bursting at the seams. There’s a new name to add to that short list. Kendal Grey is looking to make her presence known much sooner than many expected.

Wrestling media members and fans alike have been paying attention to Kendal Grey in NXT and Evolve, but she’s caught even more attention in recent weeks. She and Kali Armstrong put on a match for the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship that was given four stars by Dave Meltzer. That’s a rare feat for many, especially for the women’s division, unfortunately, but to see that happen in a match on Evolve with two women who have a combined two years of wrestling experience is absolutely wild.

“She is great. She should get a big, big push,” Dave Meltzer said after that match between Gray and Armstrong. “She should be doing something on the main roster now. Not when she’s 30. Now. Kendal’s a great athlete. And she’s just got it.”

Grey is certainly a great athlete. She has several amateur wrestling accolades under her belt, including being the first female to qualify for boy’s 4A state wrestling, which is recognized as the highest level of wrestling at that level. That background has transitioned well into WWE, where she’s put those skills on display. Even going move for move with Olympic Gold Medalist Tyra Mae Steele.

It will be interesting to see if WWE features Gray more on NXT or “fast-tracks” a move to the main roster for her. As stated, the women’s division is packed, and it would be hard to find an immediate spot for someone of her talent. However, WWE has to be more intentional about leveraging some of its youthful stars, and Kendral Grey should be considered within that group.
