There are times in sports and entertainment when a young talent is recognized as being the potential “future” of that business. Think back to examples like LeBron James entering the NBA. The start of Leonardo DiCaprio’s acting career, or Alex Ovechkin stepping into the NHL. All of these performers were recognized as potential heavyweights at their craft, long before they would reach the pinnacle of their careers. The same should be said about Kyle Fletcher and professional wrestling. This young man has the makings to be the future of the industry.

Kyle Fletcher is 26 years old and already has 11 years of wrestling experience at the time of this writing. In those 11 years, he’s stepped into some of the most important organizations in the business, including Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and All Elite Wrestling where he’s signed today.

Fletcher checks all the boxes of someone who is poised to be a superstar. He looks the part. Sounds the part anytime he’s on the microphone. His in-ring is exceptional and stands up to anyone else in the industry today. Fletcher has “it” but what is even more impressive is that he continues to learn and iterate, taking cues from some of the other greats throughout the years.

For any further proof that many in the know have their eyes on Fletcher as an important piece in the future, look no further than news that broke back in August of 2025. Fightful Select reported that Fletcher re-signed with All Elite Wrestling. He’s locked in with what is described as a “big money deal, especially in relation to Fletcher’s age, and he figures to be a big player in the company moving forward.”

Keeping Fletcher off the free agency market is a huge success, because WWE was certainly going to come calling, driving his asking price up. Fletcher is certainly the type of performer who could be a success in WWE as well. Again, he checks all the boxes that the company looks for when building champions. However, the difference is that the push to the top would not have happened as fast as it will in AEW.

Kyle Fletcher is going to be the top name in AEW. There was a moment when it looked like he was on the fast track to that spot, but it has been delayed of sorts in recent months. He’s been pushed back into the midcard, but that hasn’t stopped Fletcher from being the focal point any time he’s on television. As the TNT Champion, he’s the right man to rebuild that championship, but his match against “Hangman” Adam Page showed he’s always main event ready.

Kyle Fletcher is going to be the top name in All Elite Wrestling. But the ceiling goes much higher, as Fletcher has the makings of someone who can be the biggest name in all of professional wrestling.
