Liv Morgan returned to the ring in singles action this past Monday night on RAW for the first time since injuring her shoulder in June, and although she technically came back at Survivor Series to kick John Cena in the groin and help Dirty Dominik Mysterio take back his Intercontinental title, it wasn't quite the same as getting the full Liv experience.
It appeared she didn't miss a beat in her victory over Lyra Valkyria, and nor did her standing with the fans. She's the classic love or hate character that generates interest regardless of her storyline, but fans might caution against her being thrust into one that involves Valkyria and/or Bayley.
While that duo has been fairly entertaining ever since SummerSlam, WWE should aim a bit higher with Liv, who Triple H has historically held in high regard.
Liv Morgan's powerful return to RAW should spur one of these two major WWE storylines
And there are plenty of ways to do it. It's just a matter of WWE actually taking the plunge, unlike how they've treated Bron Breakker over the past year or so.
The first suggestion? A feud with Alexa Bliss — something that's seemingly been brewing since last year's Royal Rumble.
Liv eliminated Bliss in the event with a codebreaker on the apron and spoiled Bliss' electrifying return after two years away from WWE (following her pregnancy and the birth of her child). Right then and there, a rivalry would've set the tone for an incredible 2025.
But first, WWE had to set the table for the Elimination Chamber. Morgan and Bliss were featured in that PLE together ... and Morgan eliminated Bliss again. Why didn't something immediately come out of that?
Why wasn't this a Wrestlemania match? And how was that not better than making Liv and Raquel Rodriguez tag champions shortly after? This was long overdue last year, so it should be considered for 2026.

If that's not the route WWE wants to take with Morgan, then why not try a different approach with Liv's current heel status? Have her give Sol Ruca a rude awakening to WWE after the rising star's big impression on Saturday Night's Main Event for John Cena's last match?
Ruca is an all-time babyface and a fan favorite among NXT and WWE fans. She is the antithesis of Morgan, who can serve as the bully veteran to Ruca's rookie naivety. Not to mention, Ruca's tremendous athleticism and diverse bag of moves feel more like a RAW product than a SmackDown one.
She's already proven she can handle high-leverage events after SNME, last year's incredible performance at Evolution (fatal four-way tag match against some top WWE stars), and last year's Stand and Deliver (where she won the six-woman ladder match to capture the North American championship).
Cena's retirement tour is over. The Rock has been nothing but a figment of everyone's imagination at this point. We've already lamented about the lack of appeal from the Tag Team division. Even the Women's World Heavyweight situation has become stale.
If Liv isn't fighting for a belt, these are two creative ways to keep her at the forefront of the WWE universe on the road to Wrestlemania.
