For the last year, one of the best tag teams in professional wrestling has put on show after show in WWE NXT. The duo of Nathan Frazer and Axiom continues to raise the bar for tag team wrestling, not just in WWE, but the entire business. Now that they’ve dropped the titles to Hank & Tank, the main roster call-up should be near to help strengthen the division on either SmackDown or Monday Night Raw.

At Stand & Deliver, Fraxiom finally dropped the titles in what was a match that overdelivered against Hank & Tank. Well, the idea that it overdelivered shouldn’t be a surprise, because that is what Frazer and Axiom have done throughout the entirety of their run.

When they were initially put together in 2024, it was obviously done as a part of standard WWE booking. Put two singles stars together just to break them up for an eventual feud. While that seemed to be (and in some ways still is) the eventual outcome, Frazer and Axiom rose above that boring trope to become arguably the best team in North American wrestling.

According to Cagematch, the duo has a 9.72 average match rating. That catalog includes some great matches such as the battle against Chase University, Cedric Alexander and Je’Von Evans, Myles Borne and Tavion Heights, and several other entries. Like Snoop Dogg once said, “they don’t miss.”

Nathan Frazer and Axiom would be a hit on the main roster

Think about some of the potential matches that could come on the main roster. Fraxiom versus the likes of the Motor City Machine Guns, DIY, The New Day, and eventually Penta and Rey Fenix are the exact types of matches that should get people excited. WWE hasn’t done the best job booking its tag team division, but it seems like steps are happening to put the group on the right track. Bringing up Frazer and Axiom would help that effort.

Plus, either show would get two highly effective singles performers as well. Frazer and Axiom can keep up with anyone bell to bell, and there are several fun matches worth seeing. Especially Frazer versus his teacher, Seth Rollins.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom should be on their way out of WWE NXT. With a combined 356 days as tag team champions, they reminded everyone that this style of wrestling can thrive on WWE television. Here’s to hoping they would get that same level of push on the main roster, because they could be the catalyst to reinvigorate the division.
