Tag team wrestling is a major part of the industry. Without it, several of the biggest singles performers known may not have broken through to the top. In 2025, tag team wrestling has taken a back seat across all the major promotions. While the division may be down, there’s one team who continues to show how great tag team wrestling truly could be. WWE NXT’s duo of Nathan Frazer and Axiom are the best tag team in the business.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom seem like the tag team mistake we didn’t know we needed The duo has been together for the better part of a year, and they’ve been one of the best acts in wrestling. What was clearly started as an angle to build them into a singles feud for NXT, Fraxiom as they are known, continues to prove that tag team wrestling has a place at the top of pro wrestling and sports entertainment.

As of this writing, Fraxiom are two-time tag team champions. Their initial run went for 126 days, and it looked like WWE was about to split them up. Instead, they’d regain the titles less than a month later and go into their second run which is 144 days and counting as of this writing. What have they done with these two runs at the top? They’ve given wrestling fans some of the best action regardless of division.

Fraxiom continues to give fans excellent tag team wrestling. Look at their catalog for some examples that stand up to some of the best catalogs available in tag team wrestling. For example, their July 7, 2024, match against Chase University was a fun contest between two babyface, fan-favorite teams. There’s also the October 29, 2024, match against Je’Von Evans and Cedric Alexander which was a sneakily great television match that was as good as anything seen on a PPV last year in tag team wrestling. Every time Nathan Frazer and Axiom step into the ring, they elevate the division while making their opponents look great along the way.

Tag team wrestling needs to reclaim its position as one of the high points of the industry. The days of The Hart Foundation and The Rockers are long gone. Teams like The Young Bucks, War Raiders, and others are still around, but they do not seem like the main event acts that could carry a promotion. Fraxiom gives wrestling fans hope that an emphasis can be placed on the tag team division once again and they deserve to be recognized as the best team doing it today.
