Larry Bird versus Magic Johnson was an epic rivalry between two of the best NBA players of all time, ushering in a new level of fandom to the sport. Professional wrestling has had its own version of pivotal feuds such as Ric Flair versus Ricky Steamboat, The Rock versus Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Kazuchika Okada versus Kenny Omega. As WWE continues to leverage WWE NXT to build out its roster for the future, here are three feuds with young names that can build the foundation for years to come.

For this list, we stuck with individuals who are younger than 30 years old and have yet to hold a world championship on the main roster.

Bron Breakker versus Carmelo Hayes

This is the big one. Bron Breakker versus Carmelo Hayes has WrestleMania main event written all over it. These are two performers that should be booked to define this generation. The smart thing to do would be to keep them apart as long as possible, before bringing them together for huge matches featured on events like SummerSlam, Mania, or major international events. Their feud in WWE NXT was a big moment that boosted both of their statures within the company and wrestling. It will be interesting to see how their aura continues to grow when they face off again in the future.

Kelani Jordan versus Sol Ruca

There’s a lot of youth within the WWE NXT women’s division. Two of the names that fans are enjoying the most are Kelani Jordan and Sol Ruca. Both women are 25 and thoroughly entrenched in the WWE NXT women’s midcard, recently battling over the WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship. As both ladies continue to grow in space, this is a feud that can be revitalized within WWE NXT and beyond when they make it to the main roster. Jordan and Ruca have the potential to be strong stars for the future and WWE must cultivate that development correctly.

Axiom versus Nathan Frazer

Nathan Frazer and Axiom are one of the best tag teams in professional wrestling, without a doubt. It’s nearly impossible to look at these two performers in the ring and dislike the work they put out each time. But their story is slowly sowing the seeds of discord between the two-time WWE NXT Tag Team Champions. At some point, they are going to split and lose those championships again.

When that happens, Axiom and Frazer are going to put on a banger of a match, whenever and wherever that happens. With AEW focused on giving fans a rematch between Will Ospreay and Ricochet, expect Shawn Michaels to book a counter of sorts with Frazer versus Axiom. At 26 and 27 years of age respectively, this is an angle that the promotion can come back to for years to come.
