Kairi Sane is a hidden gem on the WWE roster
The latest episode of WWE Monday Night Raw saw a scary spot involving Kairi Sane. Jumping from the top she hit her head on the corner of the announce table, nearly losing an eye. It’s a miracle that she walked away with only stiches. Yet, her reaction in the moment and in the days after are just another reminder that she’s a hidden gem on this WWE roster.
“I’m proud of my tag team partner. Bleeding was nothing to her. Kairi Sane is insanely tough,” IYO Sky posted on Twitter on September 3 after Sane posted a photo of her bloody face with a simple thumb’s up emoji.
Kairi Sane is one of those performers who no one has anything negative to say about them. Her peers praise her work and personality, while wrestling fans recognize that she’s one of the best in the business today. Her track record speaks for itself. She’s won major titles in every organization she’s represented. And she should continue to do so wherever she performs.
Sane is one of the many talented individuals on the WWE roster who may not get many victories, but she is still an invaluable name to have signed. Sane has only had four singles matches in 2024, losing all of them. Her overall record this year is an abysmal 10 wins and 41 losses. Yet again, do not let those numbers deceive her greatness. She’s a performer that WWE can insert into any position and she’ll deliver both as a character and an in-ring performer.
Look at her time in Japan when she was given the opportunity to be the focus of a division. She delivered. Or look at her time in WWE NXT when she and Shayna Baszler put on a great feud while exchanging the WWE NXT Women’s Championship. Even though she’s had multiple tag title runs with Asuka, WWE has never truly given Sane the opportunity to run with the ball. Hopefully, that changes in some sense in the future.
With individuals like Giulia, DELTA, and Stephanie Vaquer making the move to WWE, they would each benefit from having a series of matches with Sane to help solidify themselves in the company. Perhaps a move back to NXT would be best for both Sane and Sky in the near future. Either way, take a moment to praise one of the best wrestlers in the world in Kairi Sane.
