Remember when Judgement Day started? Adam Copeland formed the group in February 2022, just to see them turn on him months later. Under Vince McMahon, the group was immediately dead in the water. Not even a popular superstar like Copeland could keep them afloat. However, two years later that group has become the most important group on WWE Raw and a true example of some of the positive changes in WWE’s creative direction. Their impending split is a story that should be an interesting one from start to finish.

Judgement Days’ time is coming to an end. And it rightfully should. The group’s arc is complete. They’ve held multiple titles and Damian Priest is finally at the top as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He’s openly said that he doesn’t need the group and has slowly positioned himself to be ostracized from the faction. But even beyond that, there are several stories to tell as the foundation of Judgment Day slowly crumbles.

First, there’s Finn Balor. The speculation is that Balor will eventually side with Liv Morgan as the true benefactors of the group’s crumble. But Priest versus Balor has the makings for a big feud. It will be interesting to see what direction it takes them, as it is time for Balor to get a push toward a main event run of his own. Imagine he and GUNTHER finally getting that storyline that the COVID-19 pandemic robbed them of when Balor was making his run in NXT and NXT UK.

JD McDonagh will likely side with Balor to form a long-term tag team and be a third wheel for the Priest versus Balor angle.

Then there’s the Rhea Ripley, Dominick Mysterio, and Liv Morgan angle. It’s easy to predict that Mysterio is going to turn on Ripley and side with Morgan. But that’s just going to cause him to end up alone once Morgan turns on him. Mysterio is going to be the odd one out, perhaps just with Carlito by his side.

The foundation of Judgment Day is falling apart. The group is being pulled in so many different directions. Directions that will cause the faction to fall apart, with each member going in their own ways, most of which will pit them against each other. The arc of this faction has been one of the best parts of WWE content in recent years and they should be praised for what they achieved together.
