WWE and Cardi B announce SummerSlam 2025 for MetLife Stadium

An interesting promotion for SummerSlam 2025 dropped on Thursday featuring Bianca Belair and Cardi B. It was the announcement that the two-night event will take place on August 2nd and 3rd at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Cardi B brought together a contingent of wrestling and music fans excited to see how she could be involved. WWE should find a way to get her into the ring in some fashion because it would certainly move headlines. 

Cardi B isn’t new to WWE, as she’s been referenced by the promotion several times, both intentionally and unintentionally. There was the hilarious moment that she had online with Lacey Evans when Cardi B didn’t recognize that the former was working an angle. She’s also been referenced by stars like Belair, and openly tweets about her enjoyment of the WWE product. 

The promotion does an excellent job partnering with stars from other aspects of entertainment, with Cardi being a recognizable addition. Now, do not expect her to be in the ring hitting moves off the top or Canadian Destroyers like Bad Bunny, but she could play another role. Imagine her being involved in a big match involving Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. That would certainly do numbers and draw in attention. 

SummerSlam 2025 will be the first two-night edition of the pillar WWE PLE and will feature the biggest stars in the company. Bringing Cardi B into the fold will get more eyeballs on the product and that always means more revenue for the biggest promotion in professional wrestling.
