WWE continues to tease something with cryptic social media videos as wrestling fans and media members continue to speculate about what is coming. What started out as one individual walking in a mysterious video ballooned to four individuals. Fans have their ideas who each of these people are and the guesses range from excitement to disdain.
What started as one person on Sunday morning now includes four different videos. The videos started on Sunday. Many speculated that this individual was either Chris Jericho or Gunther, but guesses have since changed as more videos were dropped.
The latest was dropped during the morning hours of Monday, October 27. This one showed an individual wearing jeans and boots walking into a carpeted room. That video caused some to roll their eyes as they speculated that it is none other than former WWE and UFC Champion, Brock Lesnar. From there, the idea that the four videos are of Bron Breakker, Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed, and Lesnar coming together to form a new group.
This would fall in line with rumors surrounding WWE WarGames in the coming weeks. Initial reports were that Lesnar, Reed, Breakker, and Rollins would be joined by Austin Theory against a Roman Reigns led team.
However, PWInsider would throw cold water on all the speculation. On Monday, the outlet reported that several WWE superstars were at WWE HQ to film promotional material. Those individuals include Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and aforementioned Brock Lesnar. The report would go on to speculate that the video content is set to be used to promote WrestleMania 42 which is set for Las Vegas in 2026.
The opportunity for surprises is an exciting aspect of professional wrestling and sports entertainment. In a time when the creative direction within WWE could be considered “lackluster” this brief video campaign generated a spike in interest, but all of that quickly dissipated as more information came out. Could things change? Sure, but it looks like all of this content was nothing more than an upcoming promotional campaign for the biggest annual PLE in WWE.
