Want to see a dream match between Roman Reigns and Hirooki Goto? While that may not happen on your television any time soon, that doesn't mean it will not happen in movie theaters. Both Reigns and Goto were among the final cast revealed for the upcoming Street Fighter Movie. And they aren't the only recognizable faces set for the movie.
Roman Reigns was long announced to be taking part in the movie. He's set to play the part of Akuma, the antheisis to the iconic character Ryu. He'll be joined by another WWE Champion, as Cody Rhodes will be there alongside him, playing the flat-top wearing Guile.
But WWE isn't the only wrestling organization represented in the movie. Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Hirooki Goto is also in the movie. He's set to play headbutting sumo wrestler, E. Honda. This casting was long rumored, and finally confirmed.
Fans will recognize other cast members as well. Blanka will be played by Jason Mamoa, controversial Andrew Schulz will play Dan Hibiki, 50 Cent is Balrog, and current UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski who will play a lesser known character, Joe.
After moving around a bit, the movie now has a release date of October 16, 2026. The story is set to center around Ken and Ryu who are brought back into the world of street fighting thanks to Chun Li who is in need of their help.
A picture of Cody Rhodes recently surfaced in costume as Guile.
