All Elite Wrestling continues to hit fans with surprises. Another one is on the way. An international star of women’s wrestling is heading to Ring of Honor and AEW. Syuri is on her way and fans of professional wrestling, but especially those of women’s wrestling, should take notice.
A special video aired during the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor on Friday, July 11. The video featured several match highlights of Syuri and ended with a simple message. “Syuri is coming.” Take note of when it aired as well. Just moments prior Mina Shirakawa won the Interim ROH Women’s Television Championship in a match that featured Persephone, Miya Yamashita, and Yuka Sakazaki.

Syuri is a major attraction for both ROH and AEW
There’s no official word as to where exactly Syuri will show up. Initial speculation is that she will be involved in both Ring of Honor and All Elite Wrestling, with many pointing to the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In 2025 as a starting point.
Fans who aren’t familiar with Syuri’s accolades should quickly change that to learn about one of the best performers in women’s wrestling today. The 36-year-old performer has more than 16 years in the business. She’s performed in some of the most important promotions in wrestling including STARDOM, Pro-Wrestling Eve, GCW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and more. Along the way, she’s picked up 19 different championship reigns, cementing herself as a top name in the business.
If you’re looking for samples of Syuri’s best matches to rewatch, there are more than enough samples out there for consumption. Take her recent match against Sareee, which has a 9.41 rating on Cagematch. She and Mayu Iwatani put on a great match in April of 2025 as well. Syuri’s run from 2021 to 2025 includes several bangers that are worth going out of your way to see.
Bringing her over to both ROH and AEW creates some interesting matches. It seems as if the hint was dropped that she’d eventually be facing Shirakawa, perhaps for that new title she just won. But there are other big names fans will want to see her against. Perhaps ATHENA or Thunder Rosa in ROH. What about Toni Storm, Mercedes Mone, or Kris Statlander on main roster AEW? There’s a lot of possibilities on the table now, which is exactly why these types of excursions are exciting.
Syuri is going to have a great run in North America. Get ready for excellent matches against names you recognize on a weekly basis. Hopefully, this makes more fans follow Syuri’s career when she returns to Japan.
